Nelly has been some difficulties with his B.T. handset recently and can't call his aunt, this is evident in this, his most recent carbuncle. Growing between his left and right toe, this flappy organ represents the bearded men of the Orkneys. The album was written by small pet lizards.

What more needs to be said about what is probably one of the top five, perhaps top three rap albums of all time. It's just packed to bursting point with beats and ryhmes that are as "FRESH" today as they were twenty odd years ago. If you have any respect for classic old school rap you have to own this album!

Me being an avid wrestling fan (more specifically, a fan of WWF/E), I've naturally developed a great love and appreciation for several music CDs, containing so many wrestlers' entrance themes. The WWF/E's resident music composer, Jim Johnston, has produced really great pieces of music over the years for all the top superstars and it's only fitting for his music to be released on soundtracks.

The best of these have been WWF: Full Metal - the Album, WWF: The Music vols. 2, 3, 4 and 5, WWF: Forceable Entry, WWE: The Music vol. 6, WWE: Wreckless Intent and of course, the masterpiece known as WWE: Anthology. So for the next soundtrack, one would expect the same continuation of that greatness, right? Sadly, this latest release is quite the fall from grace. ... Read More:

Yeah, this is good. I don't think there's a weak track on this album. As always, Tricky sounds almost asleep when he's actually part of the track - often you get other folk singing... with a bit of Tricky whispering in the background... or growling... or sounding like he's challenging the world record for speaking while holding gravel in his mouth. Smart stuff.

Is it deep? I dunno... I like it is all I'm saying... there might be a 'message' or two in the tracks - hell, it might be full of 'messages', but I just really like 'em. It chills me out to listen to this, all the songs sound pretty unrushed, like there's all the time in the world - except maybe for Black Steel and Brand New You're Retro of course.

Lyrically this album is clever and ... Read More:

Dug this album out this morning for the first time in a while. Sick beats meet a bunch of MCs at the absolute top of their game.

This rates as my favourite straight hiphop album, and is J5's best work to date.

Peacefrog are a very interesting label; you never really know what you are going to get from them, but above all else you know that it is going to be different. This is no exception- lovely warm vocals, beautiful piano and synth lines, smooth beats and atmospheric effects. There is nothing here that you haven't heard before, Little Dragon are not forging ahead into unchartered musical territories (hence the 4 stars), but what they do, they do very well.

There are loads of sounds and styles represented in this album, too many to list really, but if like me you enjoy a wide variety of music, from folk to funk, electro to dub, psych to jazz, ambient to rock, reggae to techno, and you enjoy taking chances buying albums that you haven't heard before and don't really know anything ...
