I got this album for "Locked Up" which had firmly lodged in my musical memory since its release. At first listening I didn't think much of the rest of the album, but in fact it grows on you. i can't say I think much about the people favourite Bananza, but a lot of other tracks have interesting elements, such as: Trouble Nobody, Gangsta (with a really cool simulated female voicing leitmotif which, for me, should appear more frequently in the track), Ghetto and Lonely, while the rest of the tracks are not bad. The Locked Up remix is all the money. I wanted to give this 3.75 stars, but since most other reviewers have overvalued it, I gave it 3 as a balancing act. I am a fan of Psyence Fiction and Never Never Land, not least because of their blend of hip hop, breakbeat and rock. War Stories is more of a straightforward guitar rock-based album vaguely reminiscent of Primal Scream, but it contains several memorable tracks so, whilst I don't rate this as highly as their previous work (because of the abandonment of beats and breaks), I like it all the same. Stand out tracks are "Chemistry" and "Burn My Shadow". Talking of which, please bring back DJ Shadow for the next effort!

I thoroughly enjoyed Ghetto Gospel and was amazed that it was only a mixtape as it was better than most people's albums Freedom Of Speech has a much more darker atmosphere than his last mixtape, with some deep beats from Lewi White and Smasher. Ghetto's lyrics are consistently solid whether he spits slow or fast, even the freestyle is impressive Overall, i have no regrets in buying this mixtape and hope that more people become aware of Ghetto's gift as not many I know will even know who he is In addition theres also some good features throughout the mixtape that bring diversity One thing that I find surprising is how this man's mixtapes have so much quality I wonder what an album from him would be like

This CD is what a compilation album should be like. Great music and giant hits from start to finish. Inlcuding all the biggest and best hits from the end of '98 this cd is surely going to sell loads with the likes of Boyzone, Robbie Willliams, Stardust and The Corrs. Also including some more peculiar selections such as Culture Club, the infectious Would You? by Touch and Go and the haunting sound of Sweetbox with Everything's Gonna Be Alright. These two cd's are chock a block with quality hits and no doubt deserves to sell all the copies it does and quite easily one of 98's best compilations.
