This is without a doubt a great commercial RnB Cd forget your Destiny's Child etc hear what an modern RnB album should sound like from the original super power girl group and the best! however personally I would recommend you purchase the Funky Divas album as that contains the best matierial every thing else kind of declined after that and Born to Sing was slightly more immature although it does contain a couple of classics which are on this album, but Funky Divas is the best by a mile

D12's first joint , Devils Night , was possibly the best Eminem album ever released ( and possibly the eminem show) . The 5 other Detriot crew members really hold their own and make the cd a very enjoyable experiance . With their dark lyrics and catchy beats , Devils Night is a stroke of genius . Unfortuneately D12 world just does not compare .As soon as i heard the first single 'my band' i decided to buy the cd .This was much like purple pills from devils night and so i had high expectations , unfortuneately they fell short . D12 have TOTALLY altered their style and songs like B**** , leave dat boy alone , u r the one and i'll be damned ruin the album totally , i couldn't believe what i was listening to ! Also , why the hell would Eminem EVER ... Read More:

If it doesn't grab you immediately, keep listening. There's enough going on to bear repeated listening. Increasingly infectious.

CocoRosie's first album was home made, experimental, left field and fun. Their second brought more polish, higher production values but still kept a playfulness and pleasantly gauche quality. This release now though I found horribly predictable and bland. Very disappointed with this release, stuff like "Rainbow Warriors" is just half-baked and, hard to avoid the word when discussing the album, bland. If you're coming to CocoRosie for the first time, you won't go wrong with either of their two earlier albums but steer clear of this.

Music : Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 52
Looking through the last 10 years, and being focused on the summer versions of the "NOW That's What I Call Music!" series, I realized that this the best!
With a perfect tracklisting on Disc One, and an almost excellent selection for the Disc Two, the volume 52 of the most successful compilation series of all time fits perfectly on my CD player.
We start Disc One with the excellent No1 by Ronan Keating "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which in my opinion, is the best ballad of the year. The CD moves to a totally different sound, with the perfect sound of "Just A Little" by Liberty X, which also made No1 and is a cover.
George Michael's "Freeek!" (UK No7) is a very sexy/dance track which would be better on NOW 51, but appears here as a good classic of the year. Returning ... Read More:

As clichéd as this sounds, here's an album that changed my outlook on music. Not in the asteroid-smashing-against-earth way, but in a slowburning, creeping manner. I never subscribed to 'nu-metal', with the Korn's, Stain'd, Limp Bizkit's and Incubii, etc, but I did love Faith No More's music, and in Deftones the ideology and execution actually marry perfectly, while still having their own identity. Plus Chino Moreno can actually sing.

This album is their definitive. While the new one (SNW) is 5-star quality and more catchy, it's still nowhere near the scope present here. This album feels like a concept, plays like a greatest hits, and treads the fine line between heavy and melodic throughout, as opposed to purely heavy or purely melodic tracks.

Massive Slipknot fan speaking here, I traveled far and long to see them perform live many years ago several times, and while you get caught up in the atmosphere when you're there and on DVD can appreciate the visual element, without those factors Slipknot's shortcomings are disappointingly apparent.

9.0 has the worst production of anything I've ever heard, and that includes things that were produced badly on purpose. While the band shines on their studio outings, it must be kept in mind that these albums are often many years apart. In the live situation, that majesty just can't be recaptured night after night. If anything, its in the live situation that Slipknot's shortcomings are showcased. Their strengths are in committing to making a record as perfect as possible, and their weaknesses ... Read More:
