This album is sick, the bomb, ill what ever you what ever you want to call it. It takes a while to get into Lupe The COOL as he has new style & flow which is difficult for new consumers to get hold of. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even a 4th listen might not catch you but after that you will be hooked. The albums overall production is perfect with no album fillers (unlike many other hip hop albums i have listened to over the years). The track that will grab all is Superstar but now thats the only track i will skip past, Hip Hop saved my life is dope and so is Streets on Fire (has a Rock feel) Intruder Alert has mad dope rhyming, Free Chilly the 2nd track is only 1 minute 2 seconds long and that gives you an overall feel, a lot of the tracks have ... Being new to the scene a lot were expected of cartoon band Gorillaz and they delivered in a way which was unbelievable with this fantastic debut album. They came into the market having not a lot of success but were able to deliver in the form of their first single `Clint Eastwood' which reached number 4 in the UK charts but probably deserved higher with its cool style and interesting choice of lyrics. The songs are very different from your average rock band. Because their mode of address is very unusual it struck a cord with a wide range of people. Forget Michael Jackson's later stuff (although Thriller was good), there is some cracking music on here. Discs 1 and 3 are better as Michael is more to the fore. The packaging is a bit flimsy and there is a list of credits behind each disc in the pack, although you need good eyesight to read it! But these are minor quibbles as this is a bargain for so many great tracks

I put this CD on at work recently, and was embarrassed when I found myself struggling to choke back tears. When you bear in mind that this is a collection of songs by someone who has lost someone close to them, and is trying to tell herself that they have just gone on a long fishing trip, it is so poignant and moving. Gets me every time. Such a lovely lady too. Saw her at a very intimate gig a few years ago, she was incredibly cute and funny.

I would of given this album 5 stars however a couple of tracks let it down. I bought it because 'To Be Free' is such a superb track and there are other good tracks on the album just not all to my taste. It's worth buying purely for the outstanding vocals.

One of the best from the Cafe. excellent selection of tunes. From the haunting Mumbai Theme tune to the superb Angels Landing. Pour me another Nestea and let me watch the sunset. Buy this you wont regret it.
