I love the Pete Tong Wonderland album. It gives me a good feeling everytime I listen to it. Fav cd is cd1 like love Interlater Skylark, Josh Wink Stay Out All Night. Xpress 2 Music Xpress. CD 2 is good aswell. Its not about quantity its about quality and this CD contains quality house tracks and is mixed well by one of the best DJ's Pete Tong. This is a must for any dance fan well recommended.

You really can't fault the selection of tracks here (with the possible exception of the Ritchie Family, which made me laugh out loud on hearing it for the first time here). Classics all, and not always the obvious ones. But as someone who loved every second of these tracks when I first bought them on 7-inch vinyl, it was incredibly frustrating to find that the tracks overlap very slightly, so you lose those ecatatic moments at the start and finish of many of them. The cue points at the start of each track are sloppy too, so you catch the end of the previous one even if you wanted to skip it. I always loved the Euro/Hi NRG sound the Pet Shop Boys did so well. Working with Bobby O has definitely rubbed off on them throughout their career. There are different kinds of PSB fans, the ones who love the Hi NRG, and those who go for the slower more moody tracks. The latter won't be impressed. This album is kind of up there with "Very" as in being incredibly catchy Hi NRG, but with more of an 80s/Electro twist. So they take 5 tracks which they had released before on other formats, but remixed into disco heaven. Then there are 5 great new tracks including their take on the Bobby O classic "Try It (I'm In Love With A Married Man)". With Bobby O widely known for his homophobia I don't think he would get it. Growing up in the mid-90s, i was always into dance. The big chart chart acts of the day (Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Chemicals etc) were cool to me, but something was always missing.... That changed one day in 1998 when, late at night, "Pacific 707" came on the radio. The epitome of warm, smooth chillout. Immedately seduced, i slung a tape into the deck and pressed 'record'. Discovering what it was, i bought this compilation, and the rest is history. The diverse and fascinating sounds of 808 state are squeezed beautifully into the 77 minutes on this album. This was the strap line that first introduced me to the talents of Miguel Migs quite a few years back now on one of the early Nude Dimension releases. Boy did the strap line not disappoint and nor did Mr Migs, and the same can be said today. "Those Things" is quite with out a doubt one of the best buys I have made in a long time, and has been played pretty non stop since. This guy has just got better and better. So if the strap line has got you, and this is your first introduction to the talents of this brilliant DJ/Producer than my job is done...enjoy, and be enlightened!

Another quality release from Global Underground! Now comes part 2 of the deep dish partnership. First was Sharam's mix, now comes Dubfire's turn. If a had to choose a winner, i think Dubfire's just edges it. Dubfire's mix contains some outstanding tracks inc BarBQ, And If, Booka Shade, Samuel L Session and even Dubfire's own excellent 'I Feel Speed'. A great addition to an already amazing Global Underground series.

This album is an all time classic. If you don't get it first time round have another listen coz it's grower. I'm on my 3rd copy because i literally wore the others out i play it that much!
