This album has been the sound track of my summer! Every party I go to I have taken this album & everytime I put it on I get a great reaction - everyone loves it! This album takes you on a journey through the funkiest beats & puts a big smile on my face everytime I hear it - you cant help but dance - BUY IT! All tracks do sound a bit similar but still wicked. I can't wait for the release of their next album.

This is a great album, perfect for listening to whilst lazing on a sun drenched beach. I've just got back from Ibiza and couldnt stop listening to it. The first CD is the best of the two (as is often the case). It's the kind of mix that you could listen to and enjoy whilst lying on the beach and equally while your getting ready for a night out .... relaxing yet uplifting?!!

It's funny looking at the packaging now - all the 16th century paintings from the Sistine Chapel, famously created by Michelangelo, reflect this album as a part of musical history. It was the first ever music album to be fully mixed to the extent of re-creating a club experience - Technics MK2's and all, by a DJ (or 2 for that matter). Upon reading the story that's written across the flaps inside the packaging, we discover that this isn't your average annual of songs. Great collaboration ! Thanks to Andy Lewis for making that new macho voice surf on again. After reading Paolo Hewitt's "Changingman" and its spot on assertion that Weller's music is SO masculine since "Moderdism: A new decade (and I couldn't agree more) glad to see and hear Weller back to a soulful mood. Reminescences of "Solid bond..." and "Beat Surrender" poor in while the sound remains current, a great driving song. And, surprise, it gets even better ! A wonderful single. Can't wait for the OPUS.

This CD came highly recommended by friends and here on amazon. I've given this a month of playing but have decided I can no longer put up with it.The hitherto unreleased tracks from Beck and Bjork would have been better remaining just that, they are both utterly depressing. Roots Manuva track is just appalling, the only glimmer of hope on the whole double Cd in my view is the Fat Freddys Drop track.The rest of the content is filler to my ears. I have about a thousand CDs and vinyl in my collection and this for my money rates in the bottom 10 % and will never buy anything with the GP name attached.My collection goes back many years and during the oil crisis a few years back an album like this would have been seen as a waste of the worlds finite ...
