These three lads would go onto to produce some of the most memorable electronic and dance music of the early 90's, but for now they seemed just to be working their way upto it. Contains an early version of 'Pacific' which is a must for all fans though. Other highlights include the speedy 'Cobra Bora' and the female vocal led 'Anaconda'. But it does lack consistency and there is no flow to the album. It just sounds as if it has been thrown together.

i listened to this to death when it came out - and i dont' think i've heard it since - it 100% stands the test of time - great to have it back in my life!

Way back when, this was one of the defining big beat albums. Massive percussion, explosions etc underneath layers of almost discordant samples and loops. It broke the Brothers into the mainstream with Block Rockin Beats leading the way on the radio, and Setting Sun ticking the celebrity vocals box. Ten years on, this remains a cracking album. The tracks merge into one soundtrack, which veers between the plaintive Where Do I Begin to the real hardcore mid section of the album. Sometimes you get a nice neat packaged chorus sing a long, and sometimes you get a real mashup of noise. But the quality shines through. Right, im not going to go on about how this album passed many people by, mainly because I was one of those people! I picked it up from the bargain bin at my local HMV. And was impressed, as many previous reviews have stated this is a real grower and more similar in style to homework. Simply put if you own the previous two Daft Punk albums you should buy it, listen to it, and love it. Just as I did.

Normally I don't like dance music...but there was just something about this CD that caught my ear. The songs are unbelievably catchy, and some are just downright awesome (particularly "Baby When The Lights Go Out")
