Great song almost as good as the film would recomend it to any one great mix of rock with jack white and r&b with alicia keys

I really like the whimsical, slightly retro, ELO-inspired sound these lads create. I loved Goodbye Mr A and I liked Worried About Ray as singles so I was intrigued as to what the rest of the album would sound like. The album as a whole is good, but not great. There are no other tracks which stand out to me, and it sounds rather generic, like a cross between ELO and The Feeling, which should be good, but this album does not really excite or inspire me, despite it being listenable.

Are Keane too hard-rocking and uncompromising for you? Is James Blunt just too damn original and heartfelt? Then try Coldplay! Perfection of mediocrity! (Baa baa! ...that's a trumpet) I know... I'm mean. I don't hate this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? It's bad for you. Your children will grow up thinking this is what a rock band sounds like. Zeppelin who? no, I wanna listen to the guys who go "waaa.. waa... I'm sad and feeble..." When there's the likes of Gutter Twins, Aquila, Rufus Wainwright and The Veils out there barely making a dent, you should not be spending your money and valuable time on this.

This album features the greatest song ever written or recorded "LOVE WILL TEAR US APART` - The rest of the songs are OK - but `Love Will Tear Us Apart` is a timeless classic, a work of art that I play about 30 times every day...it is playing now as I write this. The vocal performance of the late great Ian Curtis is pure pop pefection...I want this song played at my funeral along with "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O`Connor and "My Death" by DAVID BOWIE. Those three songs are better than any tonic, more moving then any hymn or national anthem and give more of a buzz than any drug. If you dont like Joy Division or New Order - still BUY this album because "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a reason for living...

A musical version of a blocked drain. Takes itself far too seriously. Retentive and overbearing. Avoid.

I notice one of the tags for this album is 'music'. Yeah! Coldplay, whadda they sound like? well, sort of... music, really. Whoo! I got to get me some of that! Yes, it's the sonic equivalent of watching paint dry... I'm sorry. I don't HATE this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? i bought this album after i heard 'i predict a riot'. every song is great, and the lyrics. GREAT sound 4 a debue even. i thought this would be crap , but it's in my top 10 albums of all time now. the album opens with 'everyday i love u less and less' which is one of my favorite tracks of the album. i always listen to my albums either when i'm doing work or in the car and this album worked. If you like the kaiser chiefs or this album u will also like: Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, the gossip and maybe oasis. check out these bands , their worth checking out. the gossip sounds more like 'take my temp' and 'i predict a riot'. But overall if ur a fan of the kaiser chiefs check out these band (deffo). any way GOOD ALBUM GET IT.

So many US bands deliver not-too-bad yet easily forgettable emo-albums these days. So I didn't expect all that much from Paramore after buying this on the strength of their excellent 'Misery business'. How wrong I was. Opener 'For a Pessimist' sets the tone for the entire album: a blistering rocker with a catchy chorus. And the pace never lets off from there. Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get are two more standouts, but the band sounds very accomplished in mid-tempo songs like When it Rains and We Are Broken as well. Singer Hayley Williams is first class - the way she holds her longer notes could teach many of her collegues a thing or two (are you payin' attention, Mariah Carey??). This has to be the worst album i have ever heard . The only good track is black and gold. Save your money and just buy the single because the rest is rubbish
