Let's set the record straight; I love Zombie's work. The guy is one of the reasons I got into heavy rock/metal in the first place. His work with White Zombie was ground-breaking in many ways, his solo efforts have been phenomenal 'club-metal' (I own one of the limited edition copies of Sinister Urge...y'know the one you got the free CD with??) and his recent "Best Of" album featuring collaborations with such diverse talents as Lionel Ritchie, Alice Cooper et al was actually a hell of a lot of fun. So what went wrong here? Gone are the quasi-thrash guitars that made Feel So Numb and Dragula instant hits. The heavy sound of his previous two solo projects is gone, MIA. i cannot begin to tell you how good this album is, but i'll try. think the cure, kill hannah, depeche mode and rammstein all together and add a beautiful female voice. i do believe that TBM originate from canada. a fellow reviewer said that this music is for teens. i disagree, the songs are too well written & complex to be for teens. BUY IT NOW

I agree with all the other reviews. On the strength of the Nimes concert alone, this is fantastic value for money, but there is also a bonus DVD (which I haven't looked at yet) and an audio CD. The Nimes concert is simply stunning, both audibly and visually. The Dearest Boss and I also thought that some of the on-stage antics and theatrics were quite funny. The Dearest Boss said I should get a pair (or is it a set?) of lederhosen like yer man with the guitar. I thought the live stuff on LICHTSPIELHAUS (or whatever it is called) was good, but this is streets ahead. The sound quality is better too, being in DTS. It is fantastic for cranking up the volume. powerfully rythmic and crunching. This was very influential stuff. I agree there are some weaker songs on here, but it doesn't matter, its still fantastic. It sounds more normal now, but at the time,,,

I've brought alot of his other CD's and were really good but this one isn't as good as his other stuff. Alot of the tracks are remixes of good Portrait songs and rip them off. Sympathy for The Parents is a remix of an interview aswell. You can find it on youtube under Marilyn Manson on Phil something. I do like the remixes of Dope Hat and the hidden 16th track is alright. Also the covers are amazing. Not just Sweet Dreams which is ok but I put a Spell on You grows on you like Cryptochid on Antichrist Superstar. It is quite creepy and dark. My favourite track on there is definetly Rock `N` Roll Nigger which is loud and fast and gets me really hyper and would make a good classic. It is a little short though. There's been alot of mixed reviews when it comes to the new Fear Factory material,alot of listeners have liked the dual vocal style of Burton but others stick to their guns and say the best Fear Factory material has been and gone. I'd have to say i like both sounds of FF the newer material has a more melodic sound where as earlier albums are closer to death metal and might not be to everyones taste. Transgression is a close mix of the two with more emphasis on melody rather than extreme,which is all fine and well but for old skool fans then this might sound like a more commercial almost half hearted album. Dont get me wrong im not saying this is a bad album it just feels that if they took a little more time to get some ballanced songs and maybe stronger material ... Read More:

the world of music was being over run with nu metal at the time of this albums release, so it makes perfect sense that a return to something different but safe was optioned by the record company. as here we have a very talented bunch of men, who sound like alice in chains covering metallica songs. which personally i am very happy with as they are two of my favourite bands and these boys have twisted the sounds of these two bands ever so slightly by blending them together, the pained layne stayleyesque howl of sully erna lends itself so perfectly to the bastardised metallica rifs that the band are playing behind him. despite(or because of) the abundant lack of originality this album is very easy to listen to and very enjoyable to listen to. there are very ... Whereas Antichrist Superstar was loud, furious, and triumpantly atonal, Mechanical Animals sees MM reaching for the acoustic guitar and the chordbook and, incredibly, doing some more traditional songwriting. ...My god, have i (and im sure many other static X fans) been awaiting this live dvd as its their 1st. what an awesome cd/dvd set. Both of top quality. I love every single track of Static and they prove how good they are live, especially wayne static's mad voice :D (Watch out for waynes beard...It looks like its on a piece of string or something hahahaha) - a must have for static fans and any evil disco fans (if their is ANY other band that dares call themselves evil disco. As they are not gonna beat the Kings) i pre-ordered this from play.com and it didnt come due to it being out of stock...so GET IT FROM GOOD OLD AMAZON !

When you come across Emilie Autumn fans, you may well find that many are divided. Many love THIS Emilie, the Emilie that they call the "Enchant Era" whilst others enjoy the "Victorindustrual" era. Bear in mind though, that there are not many people that enjoy the latter era and dislike 'Enchant'; it's a completely different type of music, but Emilie back then was still unique and this album provides us with music which is radically different to what she does now, but it's also different compared to anything other artist due to the albums eclectic material.
