Soldiers Of Misfortune is as epic and poigniant as anything the erstwhile Irish fellas have put out in recent years. The rest of the album is stonking. If NIN could have kept this guy, their recent creative output might have actually been worth listening to... Excellent album, worth every penny...

First of all I would like to say if you are getting your first Marilyn Manson album then this isn't the one for you, I would recomend Lest We Forget with the bonus DVD. Make sure with the DVD but if you have that then this or White Trash is the one for you. It is Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kid style but has some of my favourite tracks on it. Get Your Gunn is a classic metal style song, Dope Hat is very catchy and amzing aswell as Lunchbox. My Monkey is so whacky you have to love it and it also has tracks like Cyclpos and Cake and Sodomey, if thats how you spell them. I will admit that there alot of fillers but still for any true MM fan. I only borrowed this but it has still grown on me quickly. Buy it!

Simply put, as a video of a fantastic gig, this does what many fail to do. It captures the emotion and spirit of a live gig perfectly. However, coming from the man who seems to be at the pinnacle of music technology, it seems a bit bleak - and not in a good way. The DVD is sparse on extras to the point that the package as a whole seems rushed out. The production on the videos is spot on, that cannot be argued but it is the little extras that are missing. Not a huge problem - not even a problem to be honest. It's just a tad dissapointing coming from Nine Inch Nails. Still a great video though and on a mates home theatre system it was absolutely amazing.

I am totally obsessed with these guys right now! Its rock but you can dance to it, with a load of cursing & nasty, vulgar lyrics that give MSI a crude edge. My favourite track has to be Stupid MF, when I first heard the song I presumed the lyrics were being sung in a different language! Shut Me Up & Straight To Video are great also. A must for rockers who want something heavy & fun.

In a genre that is often awash with sub standard bands attempting to copy Rob Zombie's style, it is fitting that this, his final album is a live recording and what an excellent album it is. I have witnessed the live experience of Zombie myself during his White Zombie days and as this album showcases, he is an amazing performer and his live material transfers amazingly to the stage. Backed up by the guitar talents of John 5 ex - marilyn manson, the sound is crisp and the music is tight. Zombie's old material sounds as fresh as when it was recorded and this is sliced with his best stuff from educated horses. These 2 albums are quite extraordinary, beyond words really. Unlaced has just left me reeling with its virtuosity, creativity and musicality which is not the reaction I expected to distorted electric violin. Genius? - I think so.

This is yet another brilliant release from the rather impressive Combichrist (the side project of one of the guys from Icon Of Coil - I forget which one, thoguH). The slick production and thudding beats are just what the doctor ordered when getting ready for a big night out. Get Your Body Beat is easily the best track on the album, but this LP has a lot of gems to offer. My only criticism of Combichrist is this - the lyrics are sometimes embarrassingly bad, but I don't think it really matters for industrial dance music this slick.

Quick review, really. Picked this up after hearing the album's main song (Switchback) and thus being interested to hear more. From the genre description and the band title it all sounded a bit metal/heavy so I was'nt really not sure what to expect. Anyway, don't let your assumptions put you off, there really is something for every taste on this album. There are 15 full length songs and three "Cells" (basically little intros and interludes). Stand out tracks are definately "Switchback", "Frozen", "I Believe You" and "Stay With Me (Unlikely)" and its semi-acoustic version/remix "(Unlikely) Stay With Me". Look them up online, you won't be dissapointed.
