Canadian 3 piece "Tea Party" recorded 8 albums in total with Splendor Solis being the initial release back in 1993. With the majority of UK rock fans still caught up in GNR, Nirvana and Pumpkin mania the album was to be under rated and ignored by the masses. Splendor Solis lays out the Tea Party stall and set a high standard for the group to surpass. The sound is a cross between Led Zeppelin and Pearl Jam with some Eastern spice mixed in for good measure and some very traditionally un rock instruments. The stand out tracks for me are the starter "The River" and track 5 "Save Me" which descibes how a woman is informed that her husband has been killed in the line of duty. 1989 was a good year for metal. Carcass' sublime "Symphonies Of Sickness", Godflesh's inspirational "Streetcleaner", and Nine Inch Nails' debut, "Pretty Hate Machine", were all released in that year. Also in 1989, Ministry released this absolutely brilliant album. I remember first hearing this album in 1994 and sounding impressed, but whilst much 90s metal has not survived the test of time, this album has. It sounds even better than when I first heard it. "Thieves" is just one of those songs you have to play in your car when driving at full speed. Excellent samples from "Full Metal Jacket" too. "Burning Inside" is probably the album's highlight. The other seven tracks are also of a high standard. Excellent, a hugely underrated album.

I have not long heard of Orgy, but within the first two weeks I have obtained Candyass and Vapour Transmission BOTH of which are fantastic. Jay Gordon can sing to me anytime!! This is a fantastic CD to have and yes Candyass is quite a sexy album, wierd as it sounds. I first heard them on charmed (living TV), and fell in love straight away not only is there songs fantastic but they have meaning, (this is different for evryone). BUY IT NOW!!!!! proper cyber terror ebm going on these discs. The first 5 songs on the first disc are the best wonderfullt flowing into eache other. The remix disc on the ltd edition is wuite good in places. Ive never heard a bad amduscia remix on any industrial/ebm/electro cd. This is a good cd for getting people into Terror EBM or whatever you wanna call it.

This album is by far my favourite Static-X album ever. Each track is completely unique with no crappy filler tracks to ruin this album. The album keeps it's fury and fire with all the tracks until it gets to "December", a nice calming finish to a furious and faced paced album. If there was one critism of the album, it would be the fact that it is only 45 minutes long. Overall, a very good album and one that any true metal fan must have.

After Fear Factorys best album 'demanufacture', it would be hard for the band to release an album as classic as 'demanufacture. This album is not as good although it is only slightly worse which in turn makes this a great album. The album has a consistently good songs. The guitars sound awesomely menacing and driving and the drumming is rapid fire and precise. The vocals are good with Burton C.Bell screaming and growling along with some excellent melodic choruses. The melodic choruses fit in perfectly in track three 'smasher/devourer' and also in 'shock' 'descent' and 'freedom of fire' A good element to Fear Factory is the keyboard which adds a great dark atmosphere to the songs. static x are a band that have never shook the metal worlds foundations,they have a hearty following but no real claim to the throne and with album number 5 proper there claim is now looking very unlikely for what my opinion is worth. Alot of bands mess up when they go commercial,many people consider that fact,of course that leads to new fans and money,hard one to weigh up perhaps,static x have done the opposite and ditched their pop metal stylings as perfected on 2003s brilliant shadow zone and gone for a more metal album with vicious vocals in places and this to me is their downfall as they arent really good at it,well certainly not when you place this alongside the new albums from machine head and devildriver. A nice idea in theory, but unfortunately this was not all I had hoped for. There are touches of genius- Veruca Salt's exquisitely tender cover of 'Somebody' and Rammsteins gritty rendition of 'Stripped', but I was sadly dismayed by the bland offerings by The Cure and Smashing Pumpkins whom I would have expected better from.
