This is an excellent update of the previously released "My Way: The Best pf Frank Sinatra": the record company have added a whole new CD! The single album was already terrific value for money, containing as it did Frank's best loved and most well known songs but the addition of the extra CD has made this an indispensable album for anyone wanting to add some Frank Sinatra to their CD collection - it just beats all the other competition clean out of sight!

Just got into Michael and trying to get my hands on anything he has done, got his albums and the come fly with me dvd but this dvd is in a class of its own, loved it loved it loved it, he is so charismatic on stage, and the voice?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will love this, really good set list, bit of monkeying around bit of chat, but most of all, Michael, at his best.

So here is the new album by Joni Mitchell in ten years. Let your little lights shine and rejoyce, Joni Mitchell's back. To me she never was gone though since her records rarely quit my CD player. Releases by Mitchell are more than albums or just mere new collection of songs, each time they represent first of all major artistic events, and secondly different milestones in her life, witnesses of where she is versus where she was -sending us back to our own mirrored image-, precious flashes of today where she stands, showing this extraordinary and unique poet, woman, musician and painter -we all know that she wishes "painter" would be mentionned first since this is what she primarily was and still is, but I'll indulge into the lady's ... This is an astonishing record! On paper the idea of a reggae cover of Dark Side Of The Moon sounds demented - but in practise it's truly fabulous. The All-Stars perform dub alchemy, conjuring roots rock out of prog rock like it was the most natural progression. Great Gig In The Sky had me sobbing at its beauty - honestly. Any Floyd fans with a passing interest in reggae - or, alternatively, any reggae-ists with a passing interest in Pink Floyd - this is for you. Carefully treading that fine line between homage and parody, the All-Stars present a classic work of art in a new way that shines a white light into the prism of your heart. The result is a mind-bending rainbow.

Of all the Pentangle albums, this is by far my favourite - if you could add Cruel Sister & Let No Man Steal Your Thyme to it, it would be perfect! Sally Free & Easy is sublime, and the only song that betters it in my mind is Willy O'Winsbury (the tune of which will be familiar to Fairport fans as it was used to set the words of Farewell Farewell to). The only song I'm not too keen on is the Lady of Carlisle, but then you can't have everything!

The mix of music is perfect.Lulu was great and loved Valantine moon. Gave as christmas presents all round.

This is an unusual album... it's jazz, but not as you know it. I can even hear hints of Tori Amos on 'Well' and Radiohead on 'Dinosaur Die'. The musicianship of these three is just stunning and what really strikes me so much about the album is the production, it's so beautifully engineered, so flawless, it's a treat every time it's played. All the tracks are good, some more beautiful than others, with great, soaring musical landscapes that Cowley manages to conjure up on the piano. Really great drumming and double bass too. Highly recommended.

The name Frank Sinatra is synonymous with with Jazz, Swing and Orchestral sound of music. He had an unmatched vocal talent and his music will always be viewed as legendary. It's hard to believe it's just over 10 years since we unfortunately lost this musical great. The Platinum collection compiles all of his classic greats that anyone and everyone would recognise instantly. His music wasn't made in the same way as todays standards. It wasn't released album by album, and you didn't need crazy looking music videos in order to get people to pay attention. It was music created solely to be performed in front of small audiences at such places like the legendary Copacabana night club. My first encounter with Big Star was via a friend very much into 'proper' music - i.e. all played on guitars and the like, no synths (Hammond organs are OK though, as far as I can gather), preferrably from the 60s or 70s. Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Beatles... nothing against any of them (at least, not Young and Dylan), but not the pivotal points of my record collection. As a fan of some distinctly non-proper music (Future Sound Of London, Aphex Twin, Orbital, to pick the first names that come into my head) I was naturally suspicious. It took several listens, but eventually I came to at least appreciate the melodies in Big Star's music, via songs like September Gurls, Thirteen, The Ballad Of El Goodo and Way Out West.
