Just bought this today and it thoroughly deserves to be thought of as the bes tlive album ever from jailbreak to the rocker lynotts charisma shows through especially just before the rocker. all in all for 3 quid even if your not the biggest fan its still worth it. its one fo the best cds i have and will probably remain so.

pinks try this tour is not quite as good as the im not dead tour i think this is because the new songs on pinks im not dead album are so much popular that it just doesnt measure up pink is defeniently a rock godess and all should bow down in front of her feet pink goes to such lengths to make her fans happy that she gets suspended up in the air sings live and does acrobotics pink is a good exaple of an all rounder she can sing dance and peforms infront of crowds fearlessly pink is definently a dedicated performer and nothing can stand in her way in this concert i absoulutedly luv luv luv pink with my life.

I find it very hard to criticise Steve Winwood.He is a quality musician with a quality voice. He started out a teenage prodigy who took the charts by storm, then spent much of the 70's doing pretentious but quality material typical of the era with various line ups. In the 80's he went commercial and had massive success, particularly in the States. Then he tried to carry this theme into the 90's and somehow it didn't work any more. His last album 'About Time' was largely based on latin rhythms with an intimate sounding combo and was a classy piece of work. This new effort seems to fall somewhere in between that album and his 70's work. Whilst it lacks a certain focus and dynamism, it is still a quality piece of work. I really like this album as it has an amazing energy and anger that reminds me of the Clash. This was a bit of grower for me and I really appreciate what it's all about; the drudgery of every day life,with abit of economic harshness and nights out thrown in. They are singing about Britain Now. My favourite track of all is 'Away from Here' because there is no other song at the moment that captures how god damn tedious every day life is:'I am sick and tired / of working to be retired'. Alot of the songs also have an anthemic quality about them ('You're not alone', Had Enough). It only get fours stars though as I am perfectionist. There are just a couple of songs I don't care for ('This Song is About You' is a bit wet) but if you like old school rock with anger ... Read More:

Great ! Superb ! Fantastic ! I agree that picture could have been better, but music overcomes it all ! Something not seen. We in Croatia would say "prava festa" (true fiesta) for all of people in the venue: the musitians and the audience, and therefore all the people who watch it on DVD.... Really must have DVD.

I've had this album SOME years now, to find it's still available is great news. Backed up the album, and bought the VHS tape of the show. WHY oh WHY, can I not get it on DVD? I don't want to lose it to equipment outdating. How much does it cost to convert tape to DVD, and will it let me? THIS is THE definitive Dire Straits. Forget all the other albums, start with this, and then find other albums with less repeats on them. Dire Straits greatest annoyance, is repeating many tracks, on many albums. Chances are you will end up with some tracks several times. ALCHEMY will have your favourite version of any track that's on it though, GUARANTEED! One of the best albums in the world. Where's the DVD !!!!

The reviews on this DVD seem to be from the Live Aid DVD available elsewhere. This DVD is "Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid", the Live Aid bit lasts around 15 minutes and is Queen's set in the afternoon and Brian and Freddie playing "Is this the world we created?", there are also the odd interview and some rehearsal footage here, these bits however should be seen as "extras", the main event is the 2 concerts filmed in Montreal in 1981. Any one who is a Queen fan, probably has the "We Will Rock You" video or DVD, well this is the exact same film, but the quality in High Definition is astounding. The band apparently did not enjoy making this, they also did not own it, apparently they now do, and this HD DVD is a Queen Production. If you need any proof ... Read More:

This double CD provides us with the wonderful chance to go back in time and hear 2 quite different concerts by Amos. CD1, from 1991, captures Tori just before the release of her debut album LITTLE EARTHQUAKES (I am discounting her true first release, Y KANT TORI READ, as this flopped). Here, you hear that there is a vulnerability to Tori - she comments upon not being used to playing in front of so many people, and during the song "Happy Phantom", she forgets one word. Rather than doing what she would now do - just replace it for another, meaning no-one would be any the wiser - she stops, and admits to the crowd that she has forgotten her lyric.
