I'm listening to this for the first time today and I can't believe how good it is. Just bought it because of Monster Hospital, but there are some real surprises on the rest of the album. Really intelligent guitar work, reminds me of Graham Coxon. Brilliant.

What a great voice and a good selection of songs. From simple love songs, in some cases with a piano to powerful fast moving 1940's sounding music. With driving trumpets and brass and some close Andrew type sisters backing vocals EXCELLENT. I just park my Flying Fortress, and will join you in the officers club. If she was born then? She would have been the forces sweetheart, a lot more raunchier and sexier version. Bye Bye Vera. Favourite track? Not tracks?? So I have to pick just one. Very hard.... let me listen to it again. Just to make it clear, the difference between this version and the standard version are: 1: This version comes in a deluxe card box rather than the standard jewel case. 2: This version also contains 3 limited edition cards (one of each band member). THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE EXTRA TRACKS AS SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING therefore I would say that unless you are an absolute fanatic who has to have all the limited edition stuff then the standard edition is fine. On the Dvd itself the concert is excellent but a bit disappointed that the "backstage footage" is only 10 mins long. good though.

To say I am disappointed with this concert would be an understatement. It is` curiously uninvolving and the guest performances, except for Sarah Mclachan and Wayne Shorter and great songs are dreadfully rendered by artists who aren't fit to share a stage with Santana and even Carlos's solos cannot save them. The main problem lies`I think with the material which although sounding good on cd does is very commercial and does not translate to the live stage. The production values are extremely high and sound sound quality is generally good, except that Carlos Santana's guitar is not as forward in the mix as it needs to be to lift many of the lacklustre performances.

This is Eric Clapton at his very, very best. Miss this at your peril! Great songs, great band, great solos. I always preferred EC's Domino phase, closely followed by Cream. This and the deleted "In Concert" are superb gigs from that era.

I was fortunate to see this concert and was very impressed with the sound on the night. On the whole this is a good recording of the concert and brought back many happy memories of their performance of Architecture and Morality; New Stone Age is especially memorable (play at full volume!!!). Sadly however, the DVD recording of this concert is a bit of a let down. Some of the mixing is different to what I remember hearing on the night. On the track Georgia, for example, the radio samples where more prominent on the night. Sadly in this recording they are almost lost. I'm also very disappointed that Messages didn't make onto the CD. I'm sure one of their more naff tracks, like Pandora's Box, could have made way for this live favourite. ... Read More:

With tickets for Shakeys forthcoming London concerts in my possession these live recordings fill me full of incredible anticipation.I can honestly say that some of his greatest songs come over better live than recorded.The electric version of Pocahontas is superb and sets the tone for a great record.

This was originaly going to be the whole concert on 2 CDS but was changed to a single disc with two bonus tracks (Note Amazon Track Listing is incorrect) 1 Caroline 2 Roll Over Lay Down 3 Backwater 4 Little Lady 5 Dont Drive My Car 6 Whatever You Want 7 Hold You Back 8 Rockin All Over The World 9 Over The Edge 10 Dont Waste My Time 11 Dirty Water (Bonus Track) 12 Down Down (Bonus Track) The 2 Bonus Tracks were The B Sides to the Caroline Live at the NEC single. But it would have been nice to have the remaining Missing Tracks, Forty Five Hundred Times, Big Fat Mama, Roadhouse Blues, Rain and Bye Bye Johnny.

[...]Seriously though, if you are a fan of Black Cherry and/or Felt Mountain (or even Goldfrapps latest offerings on Supernature) you will surely love this DVD. A good handful of the tracks are previously unreleased and make the DVD worth the money just for that, but when you take into account that it's a double disk affair then how can you say no!? :) From the idyllic tranquility of utopia and lovely head, to the rock chic stomping that can only be found with train and strict machine when performed live, this is by far the best live act I have seen in recent years.
