I've always loved this CD. Joni is at a plateau in her career here, having moved from folky singer/songwriter to Jazz influenced singer. She probably started slipping a bit after this. Her voice here is perfect, and her phrasing is as always truly unique. Favourite track for me is "In France they Kiss on Main Street". Pat Methany plays wonderful guitar and the band are really powerful. However 'Coyote' 'Hejira' and 'Goodbye Pork Pie Hat' are all great in there own ways. The band is phenomenal, Michael Brecker is on Sax, Jaco Pastorius Bass, together with Lyle Mays on Keyboards and Don Alias on drums. I had the pleasure of witnesing Popmart at Leeds in 1997 and the very next day i was phoning Island records to see if it would be released on video as it was a amazing concert.It took a few years to come out,and when it did i added it to my collection.I have been longing for Popmart to be re-mastered on to DVD for ages and now it has,and it is better than ever.This DVD really does the sound justice,at the live concert on the night it was fantastic,and now on this DVD it lives up to that night!If you have a surround system get it on to the DTS setting or 5.1 and crank it up!!The bonus disc is also a credit,with Lemon for sale and a tour of the tour well worth watching. The 'Stadium Rock' phase of the 1980s was pretty much totally male dominated with one exception - and she needs no introduction! In this two CD set, Tina Turner proves exactly why people still go crazy for her concert tickets. From the storming opening track 'What You Get Is What You See' to the soothing ending of 'Paradise Is Here', Turner demonstrates what live performing is all about with her trademark energy and drive. She is the very definition of entertainment, giving herself completely to the audience - from sharing her life to allowing glimpses into her soul. One of the best live albums ever made!

I first bought this CD just after seeing Kylie Live in January 2007. My first live concert ever. I'd seen parts of the original showgirl concert before, but never expected the show to be as good as what it actually was. The sheer excitement in the arena was amazing, and you can actually feel that on this live album. The thunderous applaud at the beginning is just like the standing ovation Kylie recieved at the actual show I attended, before bursting into Better The Devil You Know. Never since have I seen a standing ovation in a concert. Her voice is crisp and strong on this tour, miles better than the Showgirl Tour, infact it's sort of like on the Fever Tour, for anybody reading this who has bought that DVD. Make no mistake. If you like Portishead, you HAVE to get this DVD. Out of maybe 30 music DVDs I own, this stands in my Top5 for sure. Excellent video/audio quality, excellent performance, Beth's singing is greater than ever, the orchestra is a plus, and all these mini movies/videoclips at the extras are also great. The playlist is heavily focused in the "Portishead" album (which is a plus for me). If you like Portishead, get this Dvd and then you will love them! That's what happened to me anyway..

Love at the Greek is the culmination of energy and vocal maturity at the peak of his career. The Jonathan Livingston seagul medley is in my view the highlight of the album and certainly a valuable add-on to the original album. In this masterpiece he touches the audience with his heart, singing with sheer emotions, true to the sticky note that said "Remember Hal, I don't only want to be his voice, but his heart." Of course, the other songs, such as Glory Road are valuable to any ND collection too.

Brilliant Cd brought back alot of teenage memories. My first Wonderstuff concert was at Granby Halls Leicester, which was the one recorded. Miles Hunt as Always better live and interacting with the audience.

Really a high water mark for pre-MTV Cure and a decent round off of the period before the arrival of Boris Williams. I'm loath to give any album five stars as that implies perfection, so four'll have to do. There will always be complaints from completists about the absence of certain tracks (Boys don't cry), but as a representation of a Cure live show this is pretty good. The unsung hero of this album is the drummer Andy Anderson, who is generally seen as a footnote in the band's history. His performance on "A Forest", while straight foward, provides a perfect backing for Robert's guitar and he seems to have a perfect feel for the songs. For want of a better word, he actually makes the band swing. Highly recommended

It's all the good stuff...1. the DVD & CD combo makes this a great buy for home viewing and car listening. 2. the picture quality is quite simply superb - much better than the Soundstage DVD. 3. Lindsey performs the first few tracks virtually alone and even when the band join in there is a really intimate feel which makes you feel part of the audience. 4. Holiday Road is on it - complete with barking! 5...oh just buy it! One caveat for UK buyers...be aware at the moment it's either Aussie or US import available so if you have a Region 2 only DVD player you better have a good laptop or be patient till UK version arrives!
