I have been a Enya fan since Watermark, and always buy her albums straight away, i had forgot to sign up to her newsletter, so didn't know about this album till a few days before the release, quicky ordered it and WOW how good is this album!! Yes it has a winter theme, but I know I will be playing this anytime of the year (I like to put 5 Enya CDs on my hifi and play them on random, bliss!) The first track And winter came... is pure Enya, the perfect way to get back into the Enya Magic, the single Trains and Winter Rains is in the vain of Anywhere is, again so beautiful, but the highlight for me is track 11 My! When Time Magazine said 'they sing like angels' it was far from an exaggeration. With the seemingly endless supply of operatic voices singing lacklustre versions of `Pie Jesu' these days, the three Priests from Northern Ireland are totally a refreshing revelation. What sets them apart from the rest is their connection to this collection of songs that draws you into their world, leaving you believing every word that they sing. There's most epic and heartfelt version in `Ave Maria'; their 'Irish Blessing' is perfection and the lesser know 'Ecce Sacerdos' is totally captivating. It's not brash or preachy: it's just brilliant music.

How do Disney do it. They seem to have that magic touch with everything they do and this album is no exception. Although my son is only quite young he still loves this album every time I put it on and I have to admit that so do I. If you have seen any of the films (which I imagine is most of you) then you have to get this album. Time and time again you will be whisked away back to the wonderful world of Disney films and animation. Okay I am rambling but it is a very good album. 5 stars!!!

I had never heard of these but my boyfriend put this onto my ipod. I just could not stop laughing. "Can someone please remove these cutleries from my knees?" I laughed out loud on the tube.

As a tiny lad in the late 60s I used to love Jake's tv appearances - I loved the sound of his guitar playing and his deadpan delivery and his vocals used to have me in stitches, though I couldn't have understood 99% of the lyrics! Then last year, four decades later, I read an article on the release of Jake's boxed set in Mojo magazine. Straight onto Amazon I ordered myself a copy of the Very Best of Jake Thackray. What a fabulous delight. I have since ordered another five copies which I've sent out to various friends, and here I am on Amazon again, ordering another three copies for further friends. Spreading the word. Jake, you're fab, unique and wonderful. There will never be anyone else like you. Wishing you were here.

Everyone knows the theme. But music lovers know that John Williams belts out the most memorable scores around. Between Star Wars, Superman, E.T. and Indiana Jones he has done some of his best work. I already own the released soundtracks and they are all great but as per usual when you watch the films you think why was that piece not included. When they finally, after years of waiting, got round to releasing the complete Star Wars CD's they were fantastic, and it was all there. Even though I already own all the Indiana Jones OST's I shall still be buying this. Those little snippets previously unreleased are just the lost treasure Indy himself would be after. My son loves this CD and often asks for it to be on at breakfast (much to my wife's annoyance !) Compared to other children's CDs I have to say it's the least irritating , but one thing that irks is some songs have a couple of verses while others (usually the ones you really like !) only have little snippets

I agree with Kevan - this is just the first of three box sets, apparently and very fine it is too. It's a bit frustrating knowing that there are 15 CDs worth of programmes out there and only 9 will get an official release.The sound quality is great and has obviously been cleaned up from the original acetates - unfortunately, most of the chat from the shows has been taken out and that's the big loss, for me with this set, because it provides a fascinating insight into the band dynamic of the Driftin' Cowboys. I'd give it more than 5 out of 5 too, but for the missing bits there'll still be people trawling the dark recesses of the internet...!

I bought this for my 3 1/2yr old who wouldnt stop doing the hokey cokey, i caught her dad battling with her to put on superman!!! we all enjoyed prancing round to some good old party favourites, like the birdie song agadoo, simple simon. Definately worth the money.
