EMI's new 30-disc box-set is one of the truly outstanding contributions to Vaughan Williams' 50th anniversary celebrations. In one collection listeners now have virtually his entire output in recordings ranging from the very good to the exceptional: this set is a tribute of EMI's long-standing commitment to British music (now sadly curtailed). Vernon Handley's magisterial cycle of the symphonies is beautifully played and recorded, and the major choral works and operas are all presented in excellent performances and recordings. Today you imagine this sort of stuff appeals more to adults than kids yet its somehow hard to understand how Sixteen Tons could have been a Childrens Favorite. Supposedly based on the results of requests you take their word for it. Many of these tracks were produced by the pre Beatles George Martin-Mandy Miller and Bernard Cribbins for example.

I bought this DVD about 8 months ago after hearing 2 of his songs at a friends house, and as yet I havn't taken it out of the DVD player! He has the voice of a choir boy and the Wit to equil any top Stand up. somewhere within is a song to offend pretty much anybody from young to old. Male or female. and thats what makes it SO GOOD! if you are thinking of getting something to make anybody laugh as many times as you can possibly watch it then BUY IT NOW!!!!!

I will probably buy this because of the presentation and to ensure that my Pink Floyd collection remains complete in every permutation of packaging and mixing. Discussion of every track here is unnecessary, the band can safely rest on its laurels as the most innovative, talented and successful act ever of its genre. On the debit side there are questions as always - when is some new material going to be released and when are they going to perform live again ?

This is a super cd, full of fun brilliantly composed happy songs that will not fail to make you or your little ones smile, or giggle hysterically as you dance around the living room with them. I've yet to find a childrens album that tops it.

I'd recomend highly of not buying this CD, unless you intend to use it in a video (so that it isn't protected). Why not buy the CD? Its a very good CD and film, yes, but the songs are 90% useless without the videos, like Beelzeboss. Beelzeboss is a rock off with Satan, with amazing dancing (in a sarcastic way) so, the video is kind of important for this and many others. I tried listening to Beelzeboss, didn't feel the same. There's not much point in buying it, unless ya gonna use it in a film of somekind. Best option for you is too download the videos off of google-video (this is still staying legal these options), purchasing off of Itunes or various other options you may find (perhaps filming it ya-self).
