I LOVE the Tempts and I was given this c.d. as a gift. I would recommend it to people who would like an introduction to the groups music as it has some of their most famous hits like 'My Girl', 'Get Ready', 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone' and 'Just My Imagination' which is all good but the problem I have with this c.d. is that certain songs are included which quite frankly shouldn't be there as they weren't big hits for the Tempts. For example 'Treat Her Like A Lady' and 'Superstar' which aren't really needed and ruin the tone of the c.d. Even worse are the tracks 'The Jones' and a new version of 'Get Ready' which is a horrible nineties dance version of the classic which should have been left off the c.d. to be honest. This song is a genius at work. This is still 1 of Michaels greatest ever songs, and my advice to you is to buy this. It is brilliant. If you are not aware of what this song is, it is on The Simpsons. Trust me, buy this album. The album its self is not his greatest album by far, but the song 'Ben' is a master piece!! You will believe my every word once you have listened to it. and it is quite cheap!! a bargain at that price!!

This is a (virtually) chronlogical compilation so there's not much to review. The Supremes certainly got the pick of the Holland-Dozier-Holland hit mix (except "Jimmy Mack") and some of these songs are breathtakingly well written. Ironically, Diana Ross' limited delivery helped - she sang the songs totally straight - just like a good pop singer should. But where the hell is "Stoned Love". This was one of my all time favourites and any Supremes collection without it is not worth buying. On that basis it's a bad compilation and is why it gets one star. Next time get all the songs in. Imagine a Rolling Stones compilation without "The Last Time" or "Jumpin' Jack Flash". No, I wouldn't buy it either.

talking book this is a classic soul album i love it and play it quite regually its cool it features two known songs you are the sunshine of my life,superstition and lots of other good songs which aint recoginised so much radios have a habit of playing 2 or 3 songs by one artist all radio stations are guilty of it eg queen bohemian rhapsody,youre my best friend,dont stop me now and sometimes we will rock you but theres plenty of other fab songs by queen eg innuendo,these are the days of our lives,somebody to love and more i like a winters tale too off the made in heaven album fab!! but they do this with any artist play certain songs thats why i get bored by radio stations rather go and put my own cds on!! if i listen too radio its radio2 mark radcliffe ... This one was released at the end of 1971, and just missed the No 1 album slot. It opens with 'I'm Still Waiting' from Diana Ross, a British No 1. When I hear it start, I can still feel my sun-burned back from that August. This was the start of Diana Ross becoming more popular here than in her native US. When they released it there, it stalled at #63 pop and #40 R&B. She also has another big hit on here 'Remember Me'. Her old group The Supremes were still doing well in the UK. Their exciting three part harmony lead on 'Nathan Jones' made our top 5, and I'm sorry , but to my ears it knocks spots off Bananarama's weedy cover.
