This is my favourite play at the moment, I guess that I am a little late in trying Mr Buble's music, but I am a convert. Think of a nicely warmed, quality single malt, good crystal glass, this is that smooth, just slides down, leaving a pleasant glow behind. Good in the car, great on the MP3 player, nice in the background during dinner with friends. This album has a great selection of tracks, well known classics of the genre, and others, new to me at least. Just try it!

On first listen, eveything is here that you expect from a Tracy Chapman album: an obvious sincerity of thought and expression, love and politics and reflections. What makes this album so convincingly good, is the music of the musicians involved. Rob Burger, Carla Kihlstedt and all the others do not deliver some usually well-done studio work, they comment and enrich the songs in very interesting ways. Producer Larry Klein is looking for a different setting for every single track without lacking coherence. it's a flow from start to end. I'm a longtime fan of Eva Cassidy's wonderful voice and style. I think I have all her albums and those albums provide a lot of the background music for my life. Her all-too-soon death took a marvelous talent from this world. That said, though, I found this album a bit disappointing. I think that with every now-deceased beloved artist, there exists a file somewhere of recorded songs that were considered for earlier albums and put aside because they weren't quite good enough. Then, when the artist dies, there's a scramble to unearth these items and create an album from them. It doesn't always work: those songs were filed away for good reason. This compilation album needs little introduction as it has sold a zillion copies or something ;), and there is a reason for that. Nobody, not even The Beatles have created a finer collection of pop songs. Pop is often sneered at by some hoity toity music lovers, but there is no need. A finely crafted 3 minute pop tune can be just as meaningful and exquisite as any other piece of music. The tunes Bjorn & Benny created will live on forever, and the girls singing stays in your mind so very easily. For me this is not their ultimate collection, as I liked more of the bitter-sweet songs they did like Eagle and The Day Before You Came. But that's a personal preference. Reading the previous two reviews, I was won over and decided to purchase this cd, its starts off well with The Pogues (in my opinion) there are one or two mediocre tunes in the middle of the cd. To be truthful I stopped at track 11 "Xmas in February" which is about Vietnam, it looks like the cd ends on a strong note with Otis Redding's White Christmas & Booker T's Winter Wonderland.

I'm married but when we went to see Pink live in Nottingham me and my female friend both walked out and said she could "take" us down the other path if you get my drift (& not married herself). She is an amazing show woman, she's sexy, daring, has an exquisite voice!!! Need I go on!! I've seen the Try This and I'm Not Dead tours live and she just keeps getting better!!! I've only just bought this and the Try This dvd (Jan 08) but I can't wait to watch them!!!! Enjoy!!

I'm not from the US, my family hail from Kashmir and I was born in the UK, grew up listening to punk rock but WOW! The soundtrack literally drips with the era and place it hails from; every time I hear a snippet I swear I can feel the heat and smell the wheat - so amazing!

This deluxe edition of Michael Jackson the king of pop has a lot more to it in terms of more songs that would have been found on the number ones best of like Dirty Diana whilst disc 3 has a number of classic rarities that have never been released before like can't get outta the rain a single b-side edit that has never been released before and boosted by the thriller megamix which may not be to eveybody elses tastes but atleast this has a lot more to it than the single disc version which i felt was lightweight in comparison to the deluxe box set edition of Michael Jackson the king of pop.
