I'm probably preaching to the converted, but ISIHAC is intelligent, naughty, fantastic, foolish, sarcastic, and more. iPod users beware - you simply cannot stop yourself laughing to this. The radio in my car died and so I dug these out of my cupboard. Haven't enjoyed the commute so much for ages. Don't miss out.

i really loved this album was fighting whether or not to buy but what pushed me towards buying was that he had one some brit awards and i was not disappointed i'm def glad i did purchase the album! it is very uplifting cheesy (in a good way) great album to listen to on your way back from a day in the office! i loved it and would recommend to anyone!

One of my favourite if not favourite album of all time. Enough said. If you don't own this album then you're missing out, on one of those truly special albums.

Gorgeous rich sound - very similar to the accoustics when I went to see the band play live at the Southampton Guildhall - that may be due to the location where the album was recorded. Unpredictable melodies and key changes make this a wonderfully challenging listen and something of an emotional rollercoaster. So grown-up that poppy hits like "Get Over It" seem almost too simplistic and commercial. Awesome musicianship and highly versatile vocals. Definitely my album of the year! If you like this, check out Elbow's "Seldom Seen Kid".

I bought this on the strength of customer reviews which made it sound like the kind of music I might like. Wrong. I find the music turgid and monotonous. It is difficult to determine where one track finshes and the next one begins. The strangled warble which passes for vocals is very irritating. It may work as backing music on TV but is does not stand up on its own. Don't be taken in by the Sigor Ros appreciation society (whose entire membership seem to have offered a review here),try before you buy!

The moment I heard that Nils had released a Neil Young tribute album, I knew he wouldn't go wrong. Not only as a result of their shared history, but Nils is such a fine accoustic performer that I knew this material would be in safe hands. What I hadn't appreciated is how much Nils sounds like Neil Young, and his voice is well suited to these sparse recordings. Each song is accompanied by just piano or guitar, resulting in a very intimate recording, each song beautifully sung. The selection of tracks is varied, with some familiar and some less so material. So if you're an admirer of these two artists, then it's every bit as good as you'd wish.

I have to admit that from the first time I heard James Blunt first hit (played endlessly and everywhere), I was put off listening to any of his material. I heard '1973' one day on the radio and loved it, then the next single - eventually I had the chance to hear the whole album and it is up there with the very best. I am not sure why James Blunt gets dismissed as a bit of a light weight, but he does. Its a bit like David Gray, you look at him and cannot believe what he can conjure up. Every track on this album is perfect and will hook you from the first play. The songs seem to be deeply personal and you imagine. I am writing this review to exercise my guilt over how I dismissed JB after that initial single!

but it is a really enjoyable album. Unashameably influenced by AC/DC, if you also like The Offspring and WASP (The band 'We Are Sex Perverts' and not the KKK) then you will like this. The main fault lies in that it sounds like a album of singles, and therefore does not quite gell. One tip - start the album at track 3 (which is the first single), and continue playing through 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1 until you finish on track 2. The album just sounds better - trust me!

I've very strangely titled ths review as like being on a plane, just because some aspects of it are exactly that! When the album starts the plane is parked on the runway and the engines go down then everything just well.. takes off. You want to close your eyes but are just forced to submit and watch, just as the album opens you can't help just just sit listen or get up and dance like a looney depending on preference! Anyway dispensing with the metaphor, I was never a fan of drum and bass or any music of that kind. I thought that it was just for a certain group of people that was until me and my friend happened to find 'Hold your Colour' on a stone wall out in the middle of nowhere that my views on that music were changed perhaps forever. Has much has i Like Dolly Parton, I do wonder how many more times are her managers going to release her Greatest Hits & Best Of Albums. I think she should come back and do something New!! I brought Dolly Partons Greatest Hits back in 1999 The Album i have is a 2x Disc version With the same songs and same listings in the exact same track listing order has these 2 seperate Albums!! Why it has been Re-released has two seperate Volumes is beyond me, Especially when the version i have is still avalible to buy. I have given this a 4 Star if it was a New greatest hits it would have got a 5 Star, However it isn't. And plus it's not Dolly's thought i blame the record company!!! :-)
