This CD is very relaxing. The songs go deep to your soul, and sound so familiar for some reason. Anyway they're fantastic and I'm listening to them right now, not for the first time. Just thought I'd add another five star review to the bunch because this CD deserves it.

I was introduced to Amy Winehouse when I finally purchased Back to Black months after the CD had been released. After hearing "You Know I'm No Good" and "Rehab", I still didn't know what to expect from the entire CD, so I decided to wait until a friend of mine finally convinced me to buy it. The CD had an old school feel to it and my favorite tracks ended up being "Back To Black", "Tears Dry On Their Own", "Me & Mrs. Jones", "Love Is A Losing Game" and "Rehab". I was seacrhing for music one day on amazon and I found out that she was re-relasing a CD that she had previously released overseas in 2003 entitled "Frank". How do people like this get record deals with lyrics like the painted cow and dave on a train. This group should have stayed in the 90's when hardcore music was in fashion. They are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto, they are just rip off merchants. The CD isn't exactly cutting edge in music - a 9 year old could have made this cd on his playstation. I can see the draw with the chavs buying this as they are just kids with no musical taste. Jumping All Over The World is terrible with lyrics like diggy wiggy wiggy. I would rather stick a rusty kitchen knive in my ears then listen to this garbage anymore. I also see the draw with the 2nd cd being a cd full of so called "clasics". If you have any taste ... In my opinion, yet another hype band. Sound like too many other bands but not as good in my opinion. Bands mentioned in other reviews such as Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, Bloc Party are all much better.

I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this. When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

it really surprised me that i liked this album being that i am a massive rock, indie and metal fan. but i have to say i loved nearly every track. i bought this album for my wife really because she is into dance and trance music, but when i heard it i loved it, especially tracks like save me, disco lights, flashlight, paradise and dreams, right by your side. there are loads more really great tracks but they are my stand out songs. so i would advise anyone whatever genre of music your into to go out and get this album i'm sure you will agree.

I saw the film first and bought myself this cd afterwards. I love every song on it. If it's the music from the film that you want it's all on here. I'd highly recommend this cd.

Having come to the brilliant Seth Lakeman through his Mercury nominated 'Kitty Jay' and the follow up 'Freedom Fields' and having seen an electrifying live performance at Liverpool's Academy. I had procrastinated about getting Seth's first album which appears to have been lost from critical evaluation on the Amazon pages. I presumed that perhaps a younger Seth had been a 'finger in yer ear' Martin Carthy traditionalist and The Punch Bowl was full of earnest but dull renditions of sea shanties and songs about maiden's losing their....thingymagig. In truth, The Punch Bowl is a pure Seth Lakeman album full of catchy riffs,wailing fiddles and those emotive vocals.
