I will admit I was originally determined to hate Girls Aloud because I am against reality TV shows but song after song I found myself unable to stop listening. Now I am a huge fan and bought the Greatest Hits as I had not previously bought a Girls Aloud album. Every track makes me want to dance and sing into my hairdryer. My personal favourite are Long Hot Summer, Wake Me Up, Something Kinda Ooh and the unreleased track Money with it's hilarious lyrics. The girls lyrics are undeniably witty and sharp and nothing if not bold on all of their singles.

I play this CD whenever I am getting ready for a night out, Something Kinda Ooh is always the final track I play as it is my favourite party mood song. I have also found myself beginning ... Read More:

How can you discribe the music of Sigur Ros - pure magic. Music where the emotion is in the song, not necessarily the lyrics. An album you cannot descibe but simply have to listen to it to realise its beauty. I already heard the songs hoppipolla and saeglópur before I have recently brought the album takk, and I was amazed at the quality of the album, not just those two tracks.

Some of you may be really fed up with this song but don`t worry about it! It`s so catchy, it just sticks in your brain. If you just love this and can`t get enough of this great damn stuff, check out her album.

I wouldn't call myself a fan Of Disturbed but I have The Sickness and Ten Thousand Fists they are both amazing album (and both sound unique in its sound). This album however didn't top 'em. The album starts off really well with Indestructable, Inside The Fire & Deceiver but then goes down hill. All the songs seem to have really good heavy intros with great drumming but Dave's vocals though he is a great vocalist just sounds the same in nearly all the tracks, sometimes it sounds like he doesn't want to be there. The musicianship is awesome, in every song. This album just doesn't have enough variety in it, it soon becomes repetitive, some tracks are excellent and alot of that has to do with Dave's vocals.

This is a good album overall they could ... Read More:

How do Disney do it. They seem to have that magic touch with everything they do and this album is no exception. Although my son is only quite young he still loves this album every time I put it on and I have to admit that so do I.

If you have seen any of the films (which I imagine is most of you) then you have to get this album. Time and time again you will be whisked away back to the wonderful world of Disney films and animation. Okay I am rambling but it is a very good album. 5 stars!!!

I bought this album because I really like the track 'Mr Brightside' which is excellent and easily the best thing on the album. Some of the others are ok but I couldn't listen to this from start to finish as it would annoy me intensely. The reason I'm not that fond of it is because I often struggle to see a lot in mainstream pop music generally - it all seems to have either been done before or just doesn't mean anything to me I'm afraid! I appreciate that the band have been immensely successful and I would imagine that if you saw them live it would be a great performance. Not really my kind of thing on a CD though.

Been keeping tabs on Friendly Fires since hearing 'Paris' a year ago and saw them at Reading last month. Theres something about a band that not only knows how to use a cowbell but mixes styles - dance/house beats, 80's style singalong choruses, indie tunes that make you want to get up and dance along.

This is no nu-rave knock off, this is a band clearly having fun and mixing great style tempos doing their own thing. Definately check this band out as not only are they great live (Flaming Lips fun with streamers, tickertape etc) Buy this album as it is a gem. Go on 'Jump in the pool' with Friendly Fires, you won't want to get out for a while!

I know that this band has influences from Coldplay and Keane, but they are much better than those bands in my opinion. I thought Keane's singles from the last album were great, especially Crystal ball, so I think this is more like the new Keane than the old Keane. Although I think OneRepublic is their own individual band and maybe they shouldn't be compared.
When I first heard this band's song re-mixed by Timbaland, I wasn't expecting the band to do any solo songs because I thought it was sort of organised by Timblalnd, but it turns out that Timbaland re-mixed OneRepublic's version of Apologize and made it sound better. There was just something about that song that attracted me to the band. When Stop and stare was first released, it took me a while to realise just how great ... Read More:

Another top notch offering of African-Latin-Indo-middle eastern influenced downtempo grooves. Although it doesnt veer far from the TC template there is more of an Afro vibe while the lyrics are more political than before. If you're already a fan get this pronto. If you dont like their previous releases you sure wont like this either.

And now for the big BUT....the quality of the packaging. Sorry to say this but it is the worst packaged CD in music history, alright.. since the mid 80s. Its a pretty shoddy cardboard sleeve which is a bit larger than your standard plastic jewel case. The CD itself is loose and inside a folded poster with a picture on one side and credits and all sorts of bumf on the other. What's going on fer Gawd's sake? I dont think I am being petty because ...
