One of the things which makes Charlie & Lola so good is the music in the episodes. This cd contains extended versions of that music - superbly arranged and wonderfully put together. Our daughter loves it, as do we! Don't be put off by the one star reviews - they are missing the point as it is the music, not the songs or lack of them, which this cd celebrates.

Arrived yesterday and I have played it over and over, hit after hit superbly remastered and a 'must have' CD absolutely fabulous can't add anything more just buy it!

Well i must say i thought this was just another compilation of the latest tunes that i don't care about at all. How i was wrong !! This is brilliant, it contains new songs such as "Cry for You" and also contains some real classics such as "Luvstruck" which we recognize from "Kevin and Perry". The list really does go on and not only are they brilliant tracks but they are also all club mixes of these songs so there's added bass and speed on most tracks. Good for general listening but obviously much better in the car, club, house party or anywhere with loud speakers and subs !! EASILY worth the money !! Ben

Estelle has a good voice no doubt about it and American Boy is one of the songs of the summer. Sadly, such elements have failed to contribute to a memorable album which feels like a rushed cash in with production values so tired, you can ever hear them yawn! American Boy sounded really fresh with a brilliant use of horns but the rest of the album is just derivative R&B that could have been produced by any female artist within the genre. Estelle struggles to stamp her own identity on any of the tracks and she just sounds like a vocalist singing someone else's work. Generally there is little passion and soul in this, I found myself barely noticing any differences between tracks. As a result, it feels more like lounge music than anything else. ... Read More:

I'd been really looking forward to this release, unfortunately I have to say it's the worst of Damon Albarn's career. I was equally disappointed with the opera itself, which I saw last weekend. A few parts were very very good, but on the whole it's really dull.

I've been listening to Jackson Browne since the sixties (yes, I'm really old), and first encountered him with blonde chanteuse Nico. Since then, I've seen him in concert many times, and enjoyed his music constantly, so you could say I'm an admirer. I still like to think I have critical faculties, and I was a bit concerned when I read early reviews of this album. However, now having bought it and played it a few times, I needn't have worried. No-one can capture the mood of a time like Jackson Browne. He has a conscience, a soaring voice, and even with sparse arrangements, a rare power in his song writing. I hope we don't have to wait another six years for his next studio album. This is just great.

With well over a hundred reviews for this album, why should I add another? There is nothing more to be said other than 1) When they next get together to get another series of 'Classic Albums - The Making Of' DVD's, this should definitely be one of them, and 2) Every 'serious' rock fan's collection should have this album, it is absolutely essential!! Say No More!!

I discovered Pink Floyd quite late in life, but better late then never they say. This is absolutely my favourite DVD/CD. If I to choose between this one and all the others I have, this would be the one!
