In my earlier review of the first Raconteurs album, I said that I couldn't pick an outstanding track because they were all equally good. That effort was a solid and concise album - 10 short songs, plenty of ideas, and essentially it was veering towards pop rock. It sounded very different to The Raconteurs that I first heard at Leeds Festival in 2006. That band was awesome - big sound, tight performance, audacious musicianship... and I realise now that they must have been playing a lot of songs from this album, though it was clearly far from being released. A few good tracks but then a few absent tracks including 'Beautiful Noise'. Could have been worse but could have been a lot better too.

There is no doubting that this girl has a very unique and likeable voice. But the material on this album does not do this justice, with much of it being quite dull, drab and samey. Hopefully with the next album, she'll get a chance to really shine.

I've liked Madonna on and off since she started in the 80's with 'Holiday'. I bought most of her early stuff when it was still sold on vinyl but for some strange reason stopped buying her music when it went on to CD format. Since then, some of her music grabbed me, some didn't, but I've always admired her ability to transform herself with the times. I think Madonna has the Marmite factor - you either love her or you hate her! Anyway,I happened to be listening to the radio on the way to work one morning and heard '4 minutes' being played. I recognised Timberlake's voice and assumed it was his new song, no problem, I like his music and was really getting into this song when I recognised Madge's voice. There is a jungle of female singer/songwriters out there, but only a few with a talent as Sara Bareilles. With "Little Voice" Sara Bareilles demonstrates that she is much more than one in a crowd of indistingishable artists. She is a poignant lyricist, versatile musician,and confident singer. I especially like the way she works with rhythms in her songs. Some songs have drums and percussion, but the piano is the key in the rhythm. On some songs it is easy to identify her musical inspirations, but Sara Bareilles manages to let herself be inspired and take flight on her own. Sara Bareilles deserves a standing applause for the modestly titled "Little Voice". Louise

If you have heard Hold Your Colour you know what Pendulum are about - Drum and Bass meets Guitar based rock. On first listen this outting sounded to me like a noisier version of the first album. But once you give yourself a chance to get used to whats going on, this album shows these guys really hitting their straps. Less time spending demonstrating their ability to use the technology they are working with, more time just ripping into the stuff they have written. I finished listening to this for the third time, then went and ordered the special edition. Just buy it!

Yep, Enjoyed her first offering, which was/is more refreshing. Like a few hear I agree, she's grown-up, not good. And she got married, whats she like! I've only played it twice, 3 might be pushing it, sorry. Hey, When she gets divorced we might get a good 3rd album, with swearing and stuff!! fingers crossed!

I'd give it a 0 if i could. it was that bad it's obvious the band were just put together to get as much sales as possible, the music is awful if still go n buy it then it's your loss i warned you!

The most talented artist that came out of 2007. Every track could be a single. 19/20 year old with all this wonderful music in her. Brilliant.

The first I heard these tunes were when Nickelback supported Bon Jovi on a concert - completely blew me away. I actually thought the energy and songs almost out done the main show. The album is very energetic from the moment go. Some ballads like Photograph, Far Away and Savin' Me are great and slows the the pace a little, but the vocals are powerful and keeps the listener glued. The album is great and a superb follow-up to their last album. I really can't wait to see them live, I will recommend you do the same, start buy listening to this album. Awsome.
