This is not even close to being a 4 or 5 star album. Bands clearly have to evolve and usually when this is done correctly for every fan they lose they will gain 5 more, however Linkin Park have unfortunately evolved into overalll nothingness, the distinct lack of heaviness makes this record a bit of a chore to listen to. There are moments of promise dotted around the album but on the whole very little actually grabs you and forces you to keep playing it over and over. The only really promising songs are the main single What Ive Done and Given Up, but once again despite the attempts to evolve it is very similar to the first track of Meteora though i must admit the simple but catchy guitar riff is a winner. My wife (for whom I bought it) says that this CD set is very restful and soothing and I have to say that I quite like to hear the singing in the background whilst I slave away at the computer. And, of course, the great thing is that we got two CDs for about the price of one. Excellent!

I have been listening to the music of Paul Simon since i can remember. What you get here is not a rebel, a follower of trends, a commercial artist or a controversial one. What we get with Paul simon is some of the most beautiful songs ever in the English Language, performed with the respect they deserve. As one part of the duo Simon and Garfunkel, Paul Simon wrote : The Boxer, sounds of silence, Bridge over Troubled water and Mrs Robinson to name a few. This has to be the most iconic album of all time.The ambience of the whole album is just shear genius.A must have in any collection of music.The most wonderful songs as Us and them and Eclipse is fabtastic.You wont be disappointed.

For anyone who likes a disco beat, great melodies, classic pop tunes and anthemic feel good music, this album is for you. There is such clarity to this music. Each song is a well produced package, beautifully honed into a perfect pop classic. They can be played in any order and one would wonder which song would be selected as the next 'Single' - they are all worthy of release. It seems rare in this day to find a whole album that can be played over and over. And be listened to the whole way through. Just fab to drive to. Uplifting, energising, catchy. Great mixes that are simple, very effective and not 'over done'.

I was going to mention Clapton's christening of the Les Paul, Marshall setup, but others have beaten me to it. I liken it's impact to what happened to harp playing when Little Walter and other's deciding to blow through the PA or an early guitar amp. They REDEFINED the sound of the instrument. So all I'll add is the rhetorical question...can you imagine being a teenage Brit, having been reared on the sounds of the Beatles, Jerry and the Pacemakers, or even the Dave Clark Five, wandering into a London club because someone had recommended the Bluesbreakers, and hearing THIS STUFF?
