An absolutely fantastic album. Streets ahead of the other albums of Thea's that I've heard. She's really matured as a songwriter and her voice sounds great. You can sense her personality throughout. Why is she still on the fringes of the fame thing? Maybe it's a good thing she is, for her and us! Oh, almost forgot, a sublime cover version of You spin me round (like a record) rounds off the collection. Thea is particularly good at picking out the essence of a naff song that makes is sound good (unlike that last sentence of mine!)

The first thing I noticed about this album was how much poppier it was than her debut, but that's not a bad thing. Sure there will be those who cry sell-out with this album but that couldn't be further from the truth. KT manages to go full on pop and keep what made her great.

The album takes a while to get going with "Little Favours" and "If Only" managing to sound decent-good but without sounding special and seem slightly uninspired. The next track "White Bird" shows KT has not lost her way but again it is only a good song, nothing special at all.

The album finally comes into its own with "Funnyman" a brilliant pop songs which I loved from first listen, "Hold On" (the album's first single) is similar in that it's incredibly ... Read More:

Radiohead are a great band, and I don't think this compilation of their videos could be classed as a cash in. If you are a big fan of Radiohead, rather than someone who mainly likes their better known work, it is a good thing to have for your collection.
Their videos are some of the most creative, experimental, original and beautiful ever made. However I found myself a little disappointed with the overall standard and didn't enjoy all of the videos as much as I thought I would. Whilst the band have this reputation for very complex, arty videos - be aware that a few of the videos are basically just recorded live gigs or performance videos.
The middle of the DVD has, in my opinion, the strongest videos and songs - from the bands strongest and ... Read More:

This all seems a tad bizarre. Several reviews have been removed..many which were less than favourable. And we're left with a rather one sided gusher ! What on earth has happened ?

Let me say from the beginning that I am no Neil Diamond fan. Sure I love his voice and he has written some great music in the past but.. too often its all a little "Barry Manilow" for me.

This album is the exception and a total revelation. Raw, gritty and emotional, it has a depth and substance that we are not used to seeing from the artist.

A real slow burn.

With its plain white sleeve and pared-down arrangements, the White Album was released as something of an antidote to its predecessor Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Although it lacks Pepper's cohesion, it has an incredible, unbelievable diversity and is brilliant in places.

Recorded at a time when tensions between The Beatles were at their height, the White Album is also one of the first double albums of new material ever released by a pop or rock band. As with most double discs, there are some critics who say that The Beatles should have cut out the fillers and released a single LP. Whilst I see their argument, I disagree with them - the strength of the White Album is its variety and, though every track isn't a classic, there's only a handful I would consider ... Read More:

The more you get into this album the more you realise that it has been exquisitely put together with songs about love and hope.

My only reservation about Baxter is his rather high pitched falsetto voice but there is no denying the poetical feel to the lyrics. This is rock music for the intelligent set. I have an interest in Baxter's work as he comes from Bungay in Suffolk - a town I covered as a young newspaper reporter back in the 1970s.

There is a jazz feel to many of the songs and there will be obvious comparisons with the voice of Jeff Buckley. Baxter doesn't quite have the tonal range of his American counterpart but he always writes literate songs within his vocal range. I have seen him live and he produces a much rockier sound.

That doesn't detract, ... Read More:

Now then folks, I'm of a certain age - early forties is all I'll admit to - and I like my music aged, preferably recorded sometime between 1978 and December 1989.

I was listening to Marc Radcliffe on Radio 6 in the bath like you do and he played this track...it was fantastic...I stopped soaping my duckie and thought to myself "hold on, I must have missed that first time around, I wonder who it is?" Well, you could have knocked me down with a bottle of Radox when he said it was the new single by a band called Neon Neon.

Intrigued, I checked Amazon and found that there was also an album. I bought it and I love it.

Some tracks are a little throwaway - I'm not to keen on the rap one - but the rest of the album is fantastic and suits me right down to the ground. ... Read More:

In my books, David Bowie is one of best pop musical icon to emerge from Britain. He burst into the music scene in the 1969 and continued to blossom as an artist throughout the 70's, 80's to present. The album reviewed (The Best of Bowie) combines all his hits in a two disc set. These include mega 69 classic such as Space Oddity to 70's Life on Mars, Ziggy Stardust to memorable 80's ballads such as Under pressure, China Girl and a no 1 Lets dance.

David Bowie music genre can be defined as a combination of punk, rock and pop. He is exceptionally gifted and great artist, with a wonderful voice, good charisma and a great image to back it up. In the music scene in 1970's, image became paramount such as hairstyle and style of clothes in which David Bowie distinctly had his own style and something you ... Read More:
