This an amzing album. Although it is not released you can hear most of the songs on youtube. I DONT CARE IS AMAZING and so is HEADFIRSTSLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN.

No, not Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall, this is Pink Floyd's greatest work. Only 4 songs (one split in two) but they're absolutely sublime. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is an amazing song and, I think, the Floyd's longest, Welcome to the Machine is eerie but compulsively listenable, Wish You Were Here one of their most gorgeous songs, and Have a Cigar is very underrated, in fact one of my favourite tracks and a nice change of style, without which the album might have felt a bit too heavy. You have to listen to the album in one sitting to truly appreciate it, and it's a hugely rewarding experience with not a duff second on it. And the ending of the album is truly gorgeous, possibly the best ending to an album ever. Absolutely essential listening.

I received this great CD for Christmas 2007. I'd never really listened to any of their CDs before, and only ever heard and reconized "Don't Stop Me Now" a few times. But now I am crazy about them and their music: it's so cool and catchy! All the songs are brilliant! You should definetly buy this! It is FAB! And if you don't atleast like them now, you will after listening to this!

So Universal cash in on ABBA by releasing all their eight studio albums + another featuring some rare out takes. Why? Well it's to cash in on the huge success of Mamma Mia The Movie. And before you ask, yes there is more to ABBA than just ABBA Gold! Having been a fan since they won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 74, I used to anxiously await each new release with much excitement and I was never disapointed! This disc is simply beautiful. Two are its main characteristics:continuity and change. Continuity relates to individual tracks which display a pronounced element of recursion that is repetition with slight variation of the same theme which promotes a feeling of soothing, calm and relaxation. Recursion is something employed successfully in distinctly different areas:in music famously employed by J.S.Bach to excellent effect in his baroque compositions, in graphics by Escher and in Mathematics by Goedel while it forms the basis of fractal Geometry. I first heard the song Case of You in the film Practical Magic and thought how wonderful it was. I bought the film soundtrack (the whole music selection for the film was pretty good) and then i bought the album Blue to see what the rest of Jonis work was like. I fell in love with the album so completely, that now i've moved to MP3 and sold 99% of my CD's i can't bear to part with this one. One of the others is Court & Spark. The music is so simple, the strings, drums, and her voice- the most wonderful voice i have ever heard, conveying such emotion that the music and words combined make the whole album an amazing rollercoaster of feelings and thoughts. I'd recommend to anyone who has ever felt any kind of emotion.

Emiliana hang your head in shame. I loved 'Love in the time..' for it's lovely ambient beats together with that beautiful voice. Wasn't expecting the folky turn of 'Fisherman's' but still great (especially live). This latest offering is an example of someone with absolutely no idea as to what direction to take musically. I have no problem with taking different directions, but probably best not to take them all at the same time. This is a complete mess and a waste of - did I say already? a beautiful voice. D- must try much much harder.
