Well its what happens when you say to your daughter that you are bored with your record collection. Here Dad try this she said putting Kid Rock into my hands. Well I am impressed. There are some great riffs on this album and a real mixture of rock/country styles. In some ways it is a mature sound and the country feel is not disimilar to a theme in Bon Jovi's, Lost Highway album. It kicks off with a real foot tapper in Rock and Roll Jesus, and Amen is thought provoking to say the least. I am not overly impressed with the sentiments and language in some tracks as noted in other reviews. thriller is a classic album but the remixes are pathetic but the dvd and packageing make up for that overall goodbuy!! the dvd love it thriller the video the best video ever!!

Since they parted 8 years ago there have been many releases of their greatest hits in one form or another. Being a die hard fan I had purchased them all but they all had tracks which had preiously been available. The boyz are breaking new ground wih this album. Not only has it got all of their hits (which you had with 90% of the other greatest hits released) you have new tracks. With the new single and two other new tracks. This delux edition also offers some fantastic extras which are well worth a viewing! If you are not too keen on their new style then I wouldn't bother buying this as it is no different to all the others but for all true fans, yet again this is another must have!! After listening to this I feel 14 again!!

Home is the debut album of talented Portland musician Peter Broderick and manages the not inconsiderable feat of sounding both world weary and modestly ecstatic all at the same time. What is even more impressive is that Broderick is only 21. At his age I could barely open my parents front door and would blush violent beetroot if a girl came within twenty metres of me. Which to be fair wasn't that often. Usually because I was locked in the house. Anyway Broderick , clearly a more confident and talented individual relocated to Copenhagen to join Danish ensemble Efterklang where he spent a year learning the ropes so to speak on tour with the band. Absolutely awful, this is a shoddy complilation of Xmas songs. The sound quality is terrible and the album seems to be a montage of old radio broadcasts. At times it seems that Sinatra is singing with a bucket on his head. If you want real nostalga then this album may appeal but I would advise you to stay well clear.

Ah, why do these compilations always have 3 or 4 you don't recognise, even though I spent the 70s with my ear glued to my transistor radio and Radio 1? I am hoping they plan a second compilation because there's loads missing that were real favourites at the time - wish they'd included these instead of the unknown tracks. Apart from that, sigh... I'm 14 again... (mind you, JEANS ON was in the charts when I was in the 6th form...

Welcome back guys! After a year's break the boys are back with this first single from the new album. A natural follow on from Rule the World, they've produced another beautifully crafted track, a pointer to the rest of the album, very much classic British pop, (thank god they didn't go the hip hop route, ha.) Should be another winner for them.

To say Nick Cave isn't the force he once was, is like saying Vlad the Impaler had minor anger management issues. Glories LONG gone, he's resorting to loose balladeering and conventional rock in a vain and desperate attempt to disguise the fact he's got nothing new to say and should've given up on this music thing a long time ago. A new Nick Cave album is cause for despair, where once it was cause for celebration. Ok, you can't go on re-living past triumphs (ask Morrissey) but the guy must have SOME of that early threat and purpose kicking around somewhere. Where's the gusto and urgency that drove classics like 'Nick the Stripper' or 'Mr Clarinet' ? He's become a rock dullard, a pale imitation, a caricature of all he once meant. Unpromoted which is a shame, Thanks to Amazon This Compilation is easy to obtain. As an OMD fan from thier early days this a must for all collectors. I bought this for the DVD alone but I am sure the Cd will get some use. Excellent purchase for any music fan as this Band have infuenced so many over the years. Great to see them on thier reunion Tour. And may they continue to please thier fans for years to come, Timeless.

So here it is - the best selling songs from the best selling band ever. The idea behind this compilation is that all the songs were Number One singles either in the UK or US. Sounds fairly simple, but in fact browsing the negative reviews on here shows many people complaining about this CD. Main criticisms are either that a Beatles greatest hits isn't necessary because people ought to buy the individual albums, or moans about certain tracks being omitted (Strawberry Fields Forever has been mentioned a lot - yes it might very well be the Beatles' best single but it didn't reach No. 1).
