When I bought this, iPod's wasn't around but it stayed permanently in my CD player for the best part of a year. Having never really been a huge ran of rnb, I bought this on a whim (hey, I was young) but this is one of the few albums of my younger years that I bothered putting on my iPod. It is quite frankly the best DC album. "Brown Eyes" will always have a place in my heart.

My first impressions after listening to this album were it could've been alot better. I think J lo trys too hard on some of the tracks to give this remix CD a more hip hop feel, with cringeworthy results. It seems this is just another way for Jenny to rake in cash from the fans, along with her, perfume, jewellery, clothing lines etc... However if you are going to buy this album I recommend the tracks, ain't it funny (murder remix featuring Ja Rule & Caddillac Tah), walking on sunshine (metro remix), feelin' so good (bad boy remix) and waiting for tonight (Hex's momentous radio mix).

It is hard to believe that such a big voice came from such a young girl! Brandy recorded this album in her early teens but the subject matter on this CD is much more mature. With a mix of uptempo grooves and big ballads, Brandy focuses on the good and bad aspects of friendship, love, and life. The production on this CD is A-class and reminiscent of the typical sound of R&B in the early 90's (when this CD was released). The album's only downfall is the sometimes overpowering background vocals, not provided by Brandy. Standout tracks are "Baby", "Best Friend", "I Wanna Be Down", and "Love is on my side".

I first came across this album by watching the Albert Hall concert DVD. I thought it was superb. Up until recently I only had a copy of the 'New Flame' album from 20 years or so ago.Having heard a lot of the tracks from 'Stay' on the concert DVD I just had to get the album. Since then I have collected the rest(all 10) from Amazon and Ebay. They are all great but this one is superb. It's a shame its going to be the last Simply Red Album in the studio. Mick will certainly be setting himself a challenge to maintain this standard after his planned tour in 2009. There aren't really any stand out tracks as after 4 or 5 listens they are all great!

Ok, so I get these influences from my Dad, but this album is the first that we bought back in the day, 1989 I believe, on cassette, that I have got on CD now, I think Phil Collins' But Seriously would have to be next. I have to agree with the previous reviews, and also add that to me, both sides of the cassette so tracks 1 & 6, and the last tracks on both sides, seem to feel like they belong there. Its as if they deliberately, put the upbeat Its Only Love and Turn It Up at the start. Funnily enough there's not a weak track on this album, which is rare of any album, although I would pick out A New Flame, More & To Be With You, as my least favourite.
