An excellent purchase.

All the Billy Ocean tracks you really need (some other "best of" or "collections" don't feature ALL the essential hits, but this one does).

Great to realise how many hits and brill tunes Billy Ocean released. As he is soon to tour again, I fully expect this CD to be re-released at a more expensive price, so get in there soon!

This album is amazing! Fantastic song writing. The first 3 tracks especially are brilliant and amazingly well written songs. I love it!

The obvious question seems to be why did they wait 35 years to release this material, it's wonderful. I feel sure that most of this material could readily fit on any of Tom Pettys other albums though the Mudcrutch material does have a more country music feel than his other material. The best tracks for me are 'Shady Grove' and 'Lover of The Bayou', neither of which TP wrote. All said there isn't a bad track on the album.

Instrumentally this album delights too. Tom Leadons country-rock style nicely compliments Mike Campbells perfection. TP doesn't take lead vocals on every track but the others don't disappoint.

So what's everyone waiting for? It's a must for every Tom Petty fan or even if you're not, go and spend a few ... Read More:

You can't go wrong with Bruce Springsteen's entire catalogue, and seeing as how most are on a very low price you could pick them at random and still have a lot of nice surprises (but maybe not the Lucky Town era). This compilation is an interesting mix of tracks, but it barely scratches the surface particularly of the pre Born In The USA time and centres too much on the ones since then. There's practically nothing from Greetings, The Wild, Nebraska and Darkness, the huge amount of live tracks are also overlooked, so I think this is aimed more at the very casual listener who isn't concerned what great album tracks they're missing. Sadly only Born In The USA and one track off Born To Run get all the attention on the radio, so I say to anyone you should ... Read More:

I have been into the Beatles since my 11th birthday in 1982. Since then I have amassed a huge collection of records, books, fan club newsletters, etc. Please Please Me was just about the first or second album I initially got to hear. I just liked the fact that it was energetic, full of life. Simple, without any need to go all serious.

However, now I know a few things, the record can only be judged as a success. Given the fact that the Beatles were touring constantly, John had a pretty bad cold, Ringo had only joined the previous August, it's a great record. The other factor that gives this album a higher score is the fact that ten of the fourteen tracks were recorded in one day, on 11th February 1963.

The songs themselves ... Read More:

I was never a Roxy fan,I was only a kid during the 70`s and only knew of them because my oldest sister was in love with Ferry,I heard some of the early Roxy songs and never thought about them much until I started getting into music myself at the start of the 80`s and remembered hearing Avalon,More Than This and Same Old Scene on the radio very often.
The surprising thing to me on this collection of songs is just how good and how many hits Roxy had,the only thing that drops a star for me is that the early stuff is harder for me to like but hey I`m an 80`s child.
For me this record has done what it was intended to,it`s made me want to go out and buy the other Roxy albums.

Abba in the groove - same formula, similar songs but everything still sounds as fresh as ever and the hits and memorable songs keep rolling off the production line without anything sounding hackneyed.

Yes it's all as fresh as ever and choc full of outstanding songs like "Super Trouper" with the immortal lines "I was sad and tired of everything, when I called you last night from Glasgow" and the brilliant break-up song "The Winner Takes it All." Elsewhere "Our Last Summer" and "Happy New Year" are evidence of spot on songwriting.

There is an inherent sadness about this album with strong lyrics a million miles away from those of five years previous. Abba had come of age. This is grown up pop/rock for middle aged angst ridden people. This ... Read More:
