If I had to burn my rock CD collection but were aloud to keep a handful, I know that Meatloaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" would be one of albums that i'd save straight away. This album is just pure genius and one cannon't fail to be surprised when knowing that it's still a bestseller even today, three decades after it was first released. Awesome songs, awesome album, do yourself a favour and buy it!

Featuring all of Duran's mega 80's hits, and a few 90's ones you may not be familiar with, this collection of hits is an excellent compiliation of the bands best work. Almost timeless hits on here which quite rightly get their due, a Duran Duran greatest hits had been long overdue, and in 1998 with their commercial success at an all time low, this release was a timely reminder of how good they are. Re-released in 2004 to even better commerical success during a sell out UK tour, Duran Duran proved that chart success may only be temporary, but class is permenant.

5* is not enough for this record, 10* wouldnt be enough, in fact 100* wouldnt even do it justice, as another review put it 'the best album ever, by anyone, anywhere'. A beautiful, heartfelt, sad, haunting, brilliant, wonderful, uplifting and personal record. Bowie reached pretty high standards both before and after this record, but he never, ever, came close to surpassing it. Simply a perfect record by a true songwriting genius at the absolute peak of his powers.

My family and I loved the movie Shrek (of course!), and for Christmas my eleven-year-old daughter asked for this soundtrack. We got it for her, and we are all very happy! The songs sound wonderful: crisp and clear. My whole family recommends this wonderful CD to you. Plus, I must say that with this soundtrack is so wonderful that I would recommend it even to those who have never seen the movie. It's absolutely great!

The world wept when james , went their separate ways , but now it rejoices with truly an awesome and moving album. Forget the grandstanding bands like U2 and the vacuous Coldplay this is the real deal , both confronting and inspirational. The standouts are for me bubbles , hey ma and coming home but it is of monsters , heroes and men which will stay with you for a while , simply stunning. buy it

So glad I bought this, its been in the car on almost all the time for the last few months... I wasnt keen on her last album, bit shouty & angry, but after reading some reviews on this one, and because its a pink cover (looked happier than the last album), i got it. THANK GOODNESS, its brill, love it all so much. Looking forward to the next one now....

I'm not going to knock Michael Jackson for all the extra curricular stuff that seems now to tower over any of his musical achievements,I'm also going to point out that he's since made far inferior albums-my beef with Jacko is that this album was the soundtrack to hundreds of car journeys following my brother getting it as a 13th birthday present back in 1988. Even back then, with my limited powers of criticism I hated it, now I've had years to dwell on the reasons why. To put it simply-songs-or lack of- are the problem. The title track sounds like someone's little brat in the throes of a paddy pants-down, 'The Way You Make Me Feel', the album's most melodic offering is ruined by the sound of someone dropping a toolbox down a flight of stairs every twelve bars,'Speed Demon' is ... This is even better than the first soundtrack and i love every single song. Very pleased to see Bethany's Halo on here, that girl needs to release an album of her own soon. Other highlights are songs by Nada Surf, Jacks Mannequin and Fall Out Boy, who all have guest starred in One Tree Hill. My personal favourite would be recurring guest star Tyler Hiltons cover of 'Missing you', it is truly amazing and i am now a great fan of Tyler Hilton based purely on his efforts in this series as he isn't well known in the UK.

some people have panned this album but i think its produced some of the best kylie songs ever e.g wow, in my arms, nudity and sensitized. buy this album and enjoy kylie the next queen of pop! :)
