Ok Robbie's had some great singles & big hits, but lets get to the point.South of the Border was one of the most underated singles of his Career.I Like most of Robbie's stuff, even Intensive Care & Rudebox grew on me,but why miss out the hits,i.e not making it a proper greatest hits from that era.(It's like Kylie's ultimate missing out the gem that was "some kind of bliss" If the record company make an updated greatest hits like other bands used to such as The Beautiful South, etc then please include this,as we are all sick of the predictable "angels" & "Let me entertain you" now.Sort it out peeps.

Many people think that this is the "finale" of the Beatles career. However, they went on to make Abbey Road in the same year. I'm of a mind that I like the original LP version (with the lavish picture book etc). The songs were stripped back to basics when the "naked" version was released, but I still think that the "enhanced" versions of Let It Be, Across the Universe and The Long and Winding Road are still the best, along with the first version of Get Back. If the original release had included Don't Let Me Down, it would have been almost perfect.

'My favourite albums ever' contains around 200 albums so don't be suprised that this is up there. Well lets get down to it, it's a stunning album unlike their 3rd there's no filler and just great music. Classics from start to finish and definately the 'phonics album to listen too, if you want to get the feel of them. Trouble is that hardcore phonics fans seem to think they were going off their origional sound with this album. yes they definately are but its a better sound in my opinion In my opinion their other albums aren't so much a deal as this. Buy it now. Then buy 'Just enough education to perform' and then buy Language.sex.violence.other.

I must say i did not expect much when i decided to buy this album. I knew some of the songs (dreams, linger, zombie) from a few years ago, but I never realised the Cranberries had such a collection of great songs. The only misgivings I have are in relation to the lyrics, which sometimes can be a bit weak. If you want an album thats full of melody and has great vocals and understated guitar playing than this is the album to buy.

I have been a guitarist for 47 years, I have never understood why Clapton is so highly rated, believe me his limitations are laughable. If you want blue-based Rock n Roll, Ry Cooder produces better albums, at least they have heart and guts.
Clapton unplugged is so lame, and the sidesmen so timid, trying never to show up the boss, the album is rehearsed to death. I remember B.B. King on one of his visits saying he was off to see a real guitarist at Ronnie Scott - Barney Kessel. I think when Joe Public decides that some-one is God that person ends up believing it, and if they harbour any doubt then they can always to resort to drugs and liquor.

I only knew a few of the hits of REO Speedwagon but thanks to this superb compilation album, I know many more. It's brilliant, chilling music and a must have for all soft rock fans.
Recommened!

If you were too young at the time to buy his albums but old enough to remember how cool he was and do some sexy dance moves too. This is for you, it has all the greats on there and is a good addition if your adding a few 80's icones to your CD collection.

This CD shows that the "sisters" are not just good at harmony but can write quality material too. Their original songs are the high spots and their words are brilliant, from the tragic And She Sang to the laugh-out-loud I Can't Believe I'm Not A Millionaire via the bitter-sweet Jilted.

Furthermore the arrangements are splendid and the musicians behind them excellent. The drumming on Soho Nights raises it from just a catchy tune to a tour de force.

If there has to be a weak track, for me it's It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) which seems to go on too long and try out too many styles. But this is a quibble.

I can't wait for the next one!
