This Album is really different and I expected Solange to be more into what her Sister does "Beyonce"... but thought wrong! This is really good I would say it's like "Jamelia" but with a Deeper Voice... The song's are very 70's style the upbeats, think of "Diana Ross & The Supremes" the song's are very much like them... Especially "I Decided" a great song, there is two Parts of "I Decided" Part 1 is like very 70's very dancey, but Part 2 is much better I think, Remixed by Freemasons, but ya have to Admit anything what Freemasons Remix is the Best anyway... Get This Album, it's AWESOME... To be honest I love this Music more than Beyonce and I do like Beyonce...

Some real gems here. Granted some of the tracks have been released on other compilation records (namely Gilles Peterson's; indeed Forge used to DJ with Gilles back in the eighties; check out their excellent Dingwalls record) but that's because the songs are excellent. There's a nice mix of funk, jazz, folk and soul here that is sure to make your average party goer stand up, take notice, and applaud your unique and well flavoured musical taste.

Michael Jackson is THE ultimate performer. Regardless of how you see him as a person, he is an electrical force to be reckoned with in his work. That man can MOVE!! No one can move like him, his voice is immediately recognisable, his style is stupendous. He has given us some memorable music and dance, and I for one am grateful for that. Who could ever forget Thriller, Billie Jean, and my own personal favourite, Man in the Mirror? This album contains tracks that can be found on previous works, but all together on one album? Wow, not a single reviewer rates it less than five stars. As good as they may be, later albums sound contrived in comparison. It's just fresher more 'alive' than his other stuff. If you don't already have this, don't hesitate.

Oh dear oh dear . Despite all Georgee does to make himself a total laughing stock , out the good folk of this world dash to get another slab of his genius in concert or on CD's such as this . Honestly people , you can do better . Not one of these dirges sticks in the mind long enough to be forgettable , they just drift through the mind with the impact of a car insurance advert , but at least you need to have car insurance . Take it from me you really don't have to listen to George . Your ears not were designed to be used so badly .

Big statement BUT..... This is an album of exceptional quality. The album is an appropiate length, not too long and too short. Considering it's a rectro feel album this has the great mix of milleninums new music and the old sound of 60's Motown, Doo wop, Sam Cooke and others all wrapped up into this. In my opinion this album is better then Amy Winehouses Back to Black, it won't sell the units, but this album is heartfelt and Raphael Saadiq has nailed the feel, and essence of this music. It is not contrived either, which for along time alot of music trying to replicate this has become i.e Duffy. If you are into Motown msuic or soul as a general genre, i would highly recommend ... What a pity the one of the best voices there has ever been and what do they do sell you a SACD version which is only 2 channel.OK it sounds good but then again he would sound brilliant on a forty year old piece of kit,but whats the point in having a SACD player and a good 7:1 system and finishing up listening to stereo coming out of the front speakers.Basicaly this disc is a con.
