This recording is not as exciting as his earlier ones, but 2nd movement of the concerto is utterly spell-binding. Eschenbach provides superb support throughout. Chopin Etudes sounds very fresh and alive, even though a fraction slowly played.

I've always loved this evergreen performance of Spring & Kreuzer Sonata by Szeryng & Rubinstein. I'm very glad it's released as CD beautifully remastered. Szeryng's playing is full of yearning & poetry in fine contrast to Rubinstein's unforced graceful piano part.
