Though I have most of the music in my collection, it was worth the money to hear the old DBC jingles. Rebel radio provided a service to the community that should always be remembered. If you haven't got an extensive collection, this is a good place to start. If you have, buy it for the memories.

Culture could have made a greatest Hits with at least 20 of their best songs. The collection of songs they have made is formidable. They have hits as far back as the 70's. This album should be much better! I am very disapointed. I have made a much better collection than this one!

Dennis Bovell's production on Bass Culture is outstanding, maybe not up there with Making History, but still above and beyond the call of genius. This is my favourite LKJ record though, for the lyrics as much as the sound: Shock-black bubble-doun beat bouncing rock-wise tumble-doun sound music bass history is a moving is a hurting black story. And the lyrics to track 5, but you'll have to buy a copy of the Penguin Classics "Mi Revalueshanary Fren" for that. Although the first two tracks are the highlight of this album, they aren't the only good things here. Lyrics are poingnant and moving. Hey World is a great track. And while i'm not sure it's as good as hist last studio album... it's still better than most other albums out at the moment. if you like Franti - it's a must! Be strong for me, i'lAll Rebel Rockers: +DVDl be strong for you.

If you're new to reggae and you find that Bob Marley has finally wore away his novelty then you can't go wrong with this album - it has to be the best, most comprehensive Roots reggae album i've heard - it is quite simply brilliant. If, on the other hand, you're a bit more "tuned in" then why the hell don't you have this album already? stop reading this and buy it now! my favorite tracks on this album range from "chatty chatty mouth", "mix up" and "rude boy ska" but in all honesty i never find myself listening to anything less than the whole album - start finish and back again! this album showed me that their was more to reaggae and Jamaican music than bob marley and peter tosh - you dont have top be high to like this album you dont ... You cant knock Desmond Dekker. A great voice lovely song's. It's at a bargain price. Rude Boy you wont stop moving your Feet. If you don't own it. Treat yourself. They dont get much better than this.

Bob Marley died long before I was born, but thanks to my parents I was introduced to his music. As a young woman he has inspired, captivated and uplifted me. Burnin' is just ANOTHER one of his many masterpieces along with the Wailers. As I write this I am rocking to another of his tunes Sun Is Shining...He is simply amazing! His talents are clearly limitless...But look, as you can probably tell, I can go on about his music all day, but the main thing is that you should add Burnin' to YOUR music collection. We love this album. Feel it is better than Big Love. Great variety. And some great artists that get forgotten along the way. There is something for everyone on this album. I love it all.
