Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is a concept album in every sense of the word. Roger Waters was compelled to write this semi-autobiographical masterpiece after spitting in a fans face and analysing all of the events that lead up to that moment. The album deals with a wide range of topics, including isolation, modern life, the troubles of superstardom, infidelity, drug abuse, mental illness, war, death and overbearing parents. The narrative rotates around a troubled rock star, Pink, who, due to aforementioned reasons, decides to embark upon a self-imposed mental exile. I can't think of any reason for why people gives this album three or even one star??? How can you critisize an album which is made up by previous hit singles. After my opinion a Single Collection is never bad, and especially not this. Here are all the favorite Sugababes songs gathered on one cd. Could it get any better?! No, of course not!! Every single track on this cd is splendid; the no 1 hits Push the Button, Hole in the Head, Round,Round, and Freak like Me gives you a good headach. And not too mension the hit ballads Too lost in you, Stronger, and Ugly. And the new and sexy single Easy gives the single collection the final touch. this album is fab hallialuah made me buy it but the whole album is fab buy it the story about hallialuah on radio2 thats how i got to hear of him he deserves much more regonition why hasant he? bob dylan does and i think leonard cohen is much better and his voice is better too!! alson get songs of leonard cohen from the 60s and songs of love and hate!! buy them you wont regret it ive also just recieved richard hawleys ladys bridge album fabalous too!!

I was going to mention Clapton's christening of the Les Paul, Marshall setup, but others have beaten me to it. I liken it's impact to what happened to harp playing when Little Walter and other's deciding to blow through the PA or an early guitar amp. They REDEFINED the sound of the instrument. So all I'll add is the rhetorical question...can you imagine being a teenage Brit, having been reared on the sounds of the Beatles, Jerry and the Pacemakers, or even the Dave Clark Five, wandering into a London club because someone had recommended the Bluesbreakers, and hearing THIS STUFF? Arrived yesterday and I have played it over and over, hit after hit superbly remastered and a 'must have' CD absolutely fabulous can't add anything more just buy it!

I'd been really looking forward to this release, unfortunately I have to say it's the worst of Damon Albarn's career. I was equally disappointed with the opera itself, which I saw last weekend. A few parts were very very good, but on the whole it's really dull.

I've been listening to Jackson Browne since the sixties (yes, I'm really old), and first encountered him with blonde chanteuse Nico. Since then, I've seen him in concert many times, and enjoyed his music constantly, so you could say I'm an admirer. I still like to think I have critical faculties, and I was a bit concerned when I read early reviews of this album. However, now having bought it and played it a few times, I needn't have worried. No-one can capture the mood of a time like Jackson Browne. He has a conscience, a soaring voice, and even with sparse arrangements, a rare power in his song writing. I hope we don't have to wait another six years for his next studio album. This is just great.

I discovered Pink Floyd quite late in life, but better late then never they say. This is absolutely my favourite DVD/CD. If I to choose between this one and all the others I have, this would be the one!
