Corporate pop at its very worst. Shockingly flat, annoying, cliche-ridden, amateur, vain, unaware, etc. AVOID!

Home is the debut album of talented Portland musician Peter Broderick and manages the not inconsiderable feat of sounding both world weary and modestly ecstatic all at the same time. What is even more impressive is that Broderick is only 21. At his age I could barely open my parents front door and would blush violent beetroot if a girl came within twenty metres of me. Which to be fair wasn't that often. Usually because I was locked in the house. To say Nick Cave isn't the force he once was, is like saying Vlad the Impaler had minor anger management issues. Glories LONG gone, he's resorting to loose balladeering and conventional rock in a vain and desperate attempt to disguise the fact he's got nothing new to say and should've given up on this music thing a long time ago. Unpromoted which is a shame, Thanks to Amazon This Compilation is easy to obtain. As an OMD fan from thier early days this a must for all collectors. I bought this for the DVD alone but I am sure the Cd will get some use. Excellent purchase for any music fan as this Band have infuenced so many over the years. Great to see them on thier reunion Tour. And may they continue to please thier fans for years to come, Timeless.

The follow up to "A weekend in the City" is certainly a different direction for the band, but the singles "Flux" and "Mercury" were a good indication that this was not going to be an album of the same ilk. All the tracks offer something different and this is the true strength of the band. Musically they have progressed and a certain degree of confidence comes through the music. Dont wait until Xmas - just go and get it!

So here it is - the best selling songs from the best selling band ever. The idea behind this compilation is that all the songs were Number One singles either in the UK or US. Sounds fairly simple, but in fact browsing the negative reviews on here shows many people complaining about this CD. Main criticisms are either that a Beatles greatest hits isn't necessary because people ought to buy the individual albums, or moans about certain tracks being omitted (Strawberry Fields Forever has been mentioned a lot - yes it might very well be the Beatles' best single but it didn't reach No. 1). This album is classic AC/DC and full of the punchy, energetic, anthemic rock we're all used to from the lads. And of course the vocals are as distinctive as ever. There is not a lot more to say that has not already been said by other reviewers other than this is a must-have album for any AC/DC fan and for anyone who likes their rock. Let's Get It Up, Inject The Venom, Spellbound and Night Of The Long Knives are personal favourites, and I defy you not to break out your air guitar.

I ordered this set after seeing it advertised in an email from Amazon. I was not very familiar with Johnny Cash, with the exception of Boy named Sue and Ring of Fire. This double CD really has blown me away. Cash's voice is great but the entertainment comes as much from his banter with the prisoners as from the songs, many of which have jail themes. All in all a great showcase for a natural performer. The sound quality is also excellent demonstrating better stereo effects than many modern albums.

One great track (Live forever) and a lot of average material. Although they would do better with Morning Glory they were never as good as the totally overlooked Diesel Park West (Check out the truly seminal "Shakespeare, Alabama").
