This product description is wrong. The track 19 "Still Here" that is listed in the product description does not exist. There are only 18 tracks on this CD. This is identical to the US soundtrack, thus rumors of the two versions being different are false. This is a typical Rocky soundtrack, with every single track on the entire CD being a butchered remix that sounds nothing like the one that appeared in the movie. Every Rocky soundtrack to date has been like this. The Rocky 4 songs sound terrible as usual. You have dialog mixed into the audio tracks, so you get to listen to Rocky's voice every single time. Cringe-worthy. When are they going to come out with a Rocky soundtrack that is NOT a "remixed" or "arranged" version?

There are two versions of this album, this single disc release and a `special edition' 2CD set. It makes a change to hear a collection of familiar music sung by a baritone rather than the more popular tenor and Bryn fans should be pleased with the selection of music, it's a good range of styles, with the emphasis on classical and opera excerpts plus a few traditional folk style songs. Bryn's voice works well on the opera favourites like Bizet's Toreador song (lots of rolling r's here) and sounds good with Andrea Bocelli on The Pearl Fishers duet `Au Fond du temple saint'. The folk songs and traditional like `Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' and `Danny Boy' are well suited to the deep baritone voice, and the `Ave Maria' duet with Sissel ... Read More:

This musical is a true joy. I would place it within the 30 best musicals ever made. Some pseudo casting directors, music experts, and nit-picking purists, may disagree. I saw it recently at home with an audience which included all age groups: from a 7 year old, through a 60 year old cousin. They all agreed that they would like to see it again, some other time. To my judgment, the casting is ideal: Kathryn, fits well into the innocent damsel, who is swept off her feet, falling in love with the dashing gambler (Howard Keel). Joe E. Brown is perfect (as he makes believe his domineering wife, that he is hen-pecked) as he does what he wants, saying" yes dear. But this one is I have! The words leap out - and I mean that because normally I only listen to melodies in any song, very rarely the words, but Aime Mann's lyrics can't be ignored and they are intelligent as well as moving. The melodies are equally edgy and the sound production's excellent.

The first solo album and a great epic championed to a rock audience by the greatly missed Alan "Fluff" Freeman. Good themes with lots of monk style cloister vocals, scary synth effects and three absolute highlights: the Jon Anderson sung "So long ago so clear" -one of the very best songs he has ever written (and I am counting all his Yes classics) and sung - beautiful. The other stand outs are a galloping synth theme which has a Ride of the Valkries type feel and the main theme itself. There is a great atmosphere throughout moving from themes of dread and joy echoing the work with his previous 60s group on the classic 666. As regular patrons to West End shows we have to say this one flies high above the others. The lead performances are superb, with Laura Michelle Kelly and Gavin Lee making the characters of Mary and Bert their own. Particular praise must go to Jenny Galloway for her warm hearted yet bombastic Mrs Brill, the house keeper, comic timing of the hightest degree. There are numerous new songs as well as new treatments of the film classics, the complete package is a work of brilliance. The direction, choreography, orchestrations and set were top notch, the only slight criticism in the show was the sound. Musical Director, Nick Davies, conducts the show with great sensitivity.
