Tuve el "privilegio" de visionar en un gran cine de Tarragona (el ya desaparecido Oscar 1) esta obra maestra en el año 1999, con el sistema de sonido DTS. Comentar que este film esta muy por encima de las películas estrenadas durante ese año (recordemos que fué la gran perdedora de la edición de los oscar -7 nominaciones y ninguno ganado-). Merecía mucha, muchísima mejor suerte este film de Malick, del cual espero con muchísima espectación que edite una versión extendida del film (recordar que la duración total del film llega a las 6 horas). The Gears of War soundtrack is simply awesome and one of the best game soundtracks to have ever come out. It is better IMHO than Halo 3 which I thought was quite weak. Many of the tracks have undertones from Starship Troopers, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek and Half Life. If you like any of these then you won't be dissappointed. Gone on buy it!

one of the best songs in the musical the producers on stage, was the king of broadway sung by nathan lane, it set the story on its way, why oh why leave it out, i know its on the cd as a bonus but not in the movie we,ll prob have to buy the dvd to get it as an extra

Can't get enough of this CD and DVD; I've bought several for friends and family. The music is a mix of classical and swing. Very easy on the ear and has a timeless quality. My kids love it too and use it as a relaxing background to read or study.

Philip Glass has written some wonderful film scores (Koyaanisqatsi, Mishima, Kundun) but I was absolutely blown away by his score for 'The Hours'. Every single cue is a gem culminating in the final one (track 14) where the music arcs from a slow beginning to a glorious climax where piano chords play against a wash of strings. The music is at once uplifting and melancholic. A masterpiece.

I have come to adore Fiddler on the Roof, and the infectious nature of the music has to be heard to be believed. This new edition with various unheard before moments this is worth purchasing by anyone who loves musicals.

Of course the original songs are remarkable in themselves, and of course the playing is flawless and beautiful, and of course the production is sympathetic, but the real beauty is in the interpretation. The very concept of a classical version of a rock record should make most of us shiver with fear - this could so easily have become another Classics on 45 (Clayderman does alt.rock?) but O'Reilly re-interprets with such understanding of both his source and modern classical piano work that the resulting execution transcends both. His love of Radiohead shines through the recording but his playing is both subtle and determinedly passionate at the same time, retaining much of the darker edge of the original ... Read More:
