Where is 'Greeny'? I just can't believe it. The most stunning, emotional bluesy Peter Green song and it is not on this otherwise brilliant album. I now have to dig deeper and purchase the double CD version which is quite a bit more expensive just for this one track alone. Why, oh why, oh why?

I saw this and already have it but I just wanted to say that out of all the artists that have released their Christmas album - this one by Lady Mariah Carey is the BEST to date. Also, because it's 14 years old it's really cheap. So - buy the BEST Christmas album as the bargain of the century.

I bought this album for 2 reasons. 1) because I'd heard a lot of talk about Fall Out Boy and heard none of their music, and I wanted to see what the fuss was about and 2) the main reason, the CD was only £2.99 at the time. So I bought it, kind of expecting to be half interested. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a catchy, original and totally fun album. To be honest, I took one look at the song titles and thought, what the heck? Right now I'm not even sure how half of them relate to the tunes in question - all I know is that I love this album, and I can't stop listening to it. There's very little that I can add to the heaps of praise that this SACD has attracted. I received my brand new sealed copy today from an Amazon Marketplace vendor in New York for a little over £6 (what a bargain!) and by the time I reached track 4 I was so excited I had to tell someone about it. Unfortunately nobody at home has the same rabid level of interest in music and things technical that I have so I have logged on to direct my enthusiasm to Amazon customers instead. The SACD audio quality is spectacular for a start. The noise is absolutely zero on this release so the initial heartbeat sound really did creep up on me. Coming just 2 years after Taylor's last album of covers songs (James Taylor at Christmas, itself a reissue of the 2004 Hallmark James Taylor Xmas Cd) and a year after the unplugged live album, this new album again highlights how indifferent Taylor's career has been. Once memorably described as a purveyor of counter culture melodies, Taylor never recaptured the heights of his Sweet Baby James album of 1970. The rest of the '70's saw Taylor settle into an easy pattern of having hits with other peoples songs whilst having very few self penned hits (and this guy was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame??!!) As a fan of "The Armed Man', 'Requiem' and 'This Land Of Ours', it's no wonder I listened to the CD prepared to be instantly blown away. However, at first I found it to be less inspired than the previous works, yet was delighted to find Jenkins was coming to my home town to conduct Stabat Mater, which I went to see last night. It's true that the movements with more pace have the signature quirky rhythms we have come to expect from Karl Jenkins; yet the more contemplative movements are profound and poignant, particularly those featuring the amazing Belinda Sykes. Her Arabic singing and playing of the duduk (which I discovered last night is a recorder-sized instrument with a double reed) is nothing short of mesmerising, both on the CD and live. I have known this album since i was 4 years old. Had In on vinyl for a long time. Got all the pretend versions (kiritikanawa or what ever you call her, and all the others) This is the best. So to all the knockers. YOU HAV'NT GOT A CLUE. Or get a decent Hi Fi system. I thank you. Good delivery service from Amazon as usual.

who the hell listens to this dull, uninspiring excuse for music, it basically consists of a complete TW**!, wandering around strumming nonsensical 'happy' tunes about absolutely nothing, I just dont get it but I suppose its a measure of how completey inane and pointless the current music scene is.

I saw the show in October, The Four Seasons were way behind my time but the show and this recording are what will bring the band's great music back and to younger generations. The soundtrack is one of the best cast recordings I have ever heard, I play my favourite songs from it everyday and dance around like a loon! It has an amazing feel good factor to it, they sound a lot like The Four Seasons but there's a freshness about the music too which coming from a younger generation appeals to me more than the original recordings of Franki Valli and The Four Seasons. Go and see the show, it's having amazing runs everywhere and I've just heard it's come to London, I'll be booking my ticket to see it there next time I go! Buy this because it's simply brilliant!
