I agree that MOS are always just re-hashing old classics, again and again and again. But this album is better than that! Besides, if you have all these tracks already - don't buy it! But this compilation has a lot more integrity than all the other "churners". There are quite a few tracks that you wouldn't expect - it's not all commercial at all. Also, the album remains consistently enjoyable. Many other MOS CD's seem to start with great tunes, and then fade into a load of "filler" tracks - just there to pad the CD out. This one doesn't! Just thought I'd do my bit to reduce the ludicrously high star rating of Mr. Rice's dreary and vacuous disc. Lisa Hannigan does well to provide a good contrast to his dreadful vocals, but 'Cold Water' is the only song here of any merit; the rest is over-hyped tosh of the worst kind. May he sink into deserved obscurity as soon as possible.

my personal Zep favourite....and then you get the rest of this excellent double album for free, what a bargain!!! I bought the original vinyl on the day of release and even now, over 30 years on, I still pick it out of the rack (now on cd) anytime I require a blast of musical genius.

My son is 5 and an avid viewer of many CBeebies shows. This CD is an absolute gem and gets played at every opportunity. It's great for a singalong, and inclusion of the lyrics would have been the icing on the cake. Still, can't be faulted. When is the next edition coming out?

Along with Kind of Blue (Miles Davis), Follow the Reaper (Children of Bodom), and Clapton's CD with the Bluesbreakers, this is the best album ever. You should already own this. Seriously. The songs are all completely different, not a single filler track!

I've know about Ray for some time and couldn't wait to get my hands on the album. His voice is like something from a distant past of actual singer songwriters. He couldn't be more pained in some of his songs if someone had actually stabbed him with the steely shard that is love. This is a MUST have album that transacends any other artist around today. He's little known and let's keep it that way, God forbid that Radio 1 give him a rave review! Simply astounding.
