I think the previous reviewer failed to grasp these are original recordings not digitally remastered for the latest medial players,recorded in 1960's music hall's and theaters, the muffled bits ! add to the atmosphere and authenticity of the recordings, some where even recorded on cylindrical disc's. I do not speak a word of French and the power and passion in the songs bridge all languages. No diva here just a powerful singer with a host of personal problems who sings from the heart and her soul

I live in Australia, and have just found through browsing websites the Doris Day christmas album on cd, and am so overcome with emotion as I feel I have just found the most amazing treasure. I have the original recorded album, which was handed down to me from my Father, I am 43 years old and the album is still in perfect condition, even though it is lovingly pulled out every christmas and played non stop while I do my christmas cooking....I place this album at the top of the list of must have christmas music to own....Doris Day has the most smoothest voices and there has never been another singer who can match her voice or make a song feel so real it brings you out in goosebumps....

This is one of the better places to go to start listening to the music of Journey. You get a good selection of tracks, which covers their most well known songs and a few others for good measure. The booklet folds out into a poster and the artwork is great. From tracks like 'Don't stop believing' to 'Who's crying now' you know you're on familiar ground and if you like 70's and 80's rock you can't really go wrong. If you want an introduction to this classic rock band then this is the place to go.

Wow, not a single reviewer rates it less than five stars. As good as they may be, later albums sound contrived in comparison. It's just fresher more 'alive' than his other stuff. If you don't already have this, don't hesitate.

What can you say about "Best of ..." albums that simply list the hits? Well, as "Best of" album's go, this is one of the best! Nine Police hits and another nine of Sting's as a soloist, all written by the main man himself. One of the benefits of this format is that it allows you to revisit songs away from the context of the album in which they originally appeared. And so I was able to appreciate just how brilliant "Fields of Gold", "Brand New Day", "Desert Rose" and "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" really are: they are truly five-star songs. But the downside is that you also realise just how annoying is "Can't Stand Losing You". But that's the only duff track in what is an excellent selection of songs.

I find it difficult to explain how good this album is. Global Underground refer to Invol2ver as a masterpiece (in the 'Global Underground 2009' sleeve notes. It is. I don't feel the need to qualify this statement. Sasha is peerless. Usually, I make the mistake of listening to albums too often and they quickly lose their appeal. However, this beautifully crafted album just gets better every time. Buy it.

I simply cannot understand the plaudits dished out to this elevator music reincarnation of late '60's white soul boy funk. Ever heard of Traffic? The Faces? Oh, there are countless bands from the period, and most of which Weller was very keen to dismiss as "hippy" back in the days of The Jam. Something has definitely happened to Weller. He's got older and matured well, but that's half the problem. This music is suitable for playing whilst you're busy hanging wall-paper or decorating your youngest's playroom. It is so bland, both musically and lyrically, that I have difficulty believing that this album WAS actually written by the same man who wrote Start, Going Underground, That's Entertainment, to name a few. The Masterplan is a B-Sides compilation full of great songs.There is an argument,in fact, for saying this is one of the very best Oasis albums. Certainly one of the most consistent. I think it's fair to say that it's time for another one-containing D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman,Round Are Way,Carry Us All,Cigarettes In Hell,Let's All Make Believe,etc...

I remember this album coming out in time for my 17th birthday, which corresponded with my first family funeral, and listening to it the night and the morning before this. Its now remebarance day 2008 and im about to listen to it again... now my point is that 23 years seperate these two events but im sure ill sit and ill know the lyrics and quely sign along to to songs like the gunners dream with the tears pricking in my eyes just like in the the song. Doesnt matter whether its floyd or walters its stil a fantastic album. So buy this album, and maybe it will affect you like it has me !!

1. Lovely Head. 10/10 2. Paper Bag. 8/10 3. Human. 10/10 4. Pilots. 10/10 5. Deer Stop. 5/10* 6. Felt Mountain. 9/10 7. Oompa Radar. 9/10 8. Utopia. 10/10 9. Horse Tears 9/10 * OUCH!!! Totally PAINFUL!!!! If you like "Supernature", "Black Cherry", and "Seventh Tree", have "Felt Montain". Obviously it's the weakest out of the 4, though really relaxing and entres you into a total state of calm. OVERALL GRADE: 10/10
