This album is great thrash metal froma great thrash band. If you have heard the song low then buy this album it's what you'd except. Awesome riffs great vocals and lyrics and excellent solos (bass solo included). Best track is Hail Mary, Low, Urotskidoji (instrumental) & Ride. This my only testament album and i'm gonna get their new album soon when i ave the money. AWESOME THRASH METAL.

I hadn't listen to Helloween for quite a while only having their old stuff on vinyl, but heard two of the tracks off Better Than Raw on yahoo's launch, I Am and Hey Lord, and was impressed as it was as good as their music from the days of Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt 1&2. Having read a couple of reviews on the albums that followed those I was a bit sceptical about what to expect from Better Than Raw. However, this is I would say even better than the old stuff from Keeper Pt 1&2 and a must have album for anyone into music of this type ie Iron Maiden.

This is one of the best albums ever recorded. It has a great guitar sound - very psychedelic, dissonant and experimental. The songs are very strong and Snake's voice sounds awesome. I can't believe it hasn't been re-released - and as it's such an awesome record I'm not surprised people are asking so much for it second hand.

I am a big fan of Covenant. I had it the week it was released, and still regard it as highly now, as I did when I first heard it. To pull this out of the hat, after producing the ground breaking Blessed are the sick, was quite some feat. Its here that opinion splits into two camps over Trey Azagthoth's 3rd disc.(not including 'Abominations...'). Some people say the production is awful, and that the ideas are rehashed B.A.T.S. concepts. Others, including myself, say "Phooey". This album has some of the finest drumming heard up to that particular moment in time (93)on any death metal album. I seem to remember in 1994 there wereabout 3 people in the UK who didn't have the Chaos AD T shirt with the album cover on. The album inspirted a generation and was part of the metal revival. While metal has moved on, it still is a classic album. It tries to be fiery and fearsome, and is on a big scale, while at the same time there are hooks, melodies and reason in the tracks. Vocalist Max Cavalera roars passionately about injustice and destruction, and you get the impression he means it. 'Refuse/Resist' is a great opener and was an anthem, 'Biotech' and 'Propeganda' set the world to rights, and I ain't arguing with him! Genuinely, I mean that. This album is an absolute corker and the chap who stated that it was a 'failed experiment' clearly doesn't understand the band or the genre. Maybe he read somewhere that Napalm Death had a 'slump' and was trying to be clever with his review. Let me tell you, that comment was never levelled at this record. In fact, this is Napalm Death at their absolute peak and like the other 5 Star reviewer, I think this is their best album by a country mile. Don't forget, this is the album which received a 5K review in Kerrang and got a 5 Star review in Raw (if anyone remembers that fine magazine!) upon its release. This was the first album of there's i purchased and it's not been surpassed yet by them. It was recorded back in 1986 the real prime time for thrash bands as i was growing up.A band that's never been as big as the 'Big 4',namely Metallica,Anthrax,Slayer and last butt not least Megadeth,but in the early days these guys were bigger than Metallica and had Metallica support them for a while.So why didn't they make it? Who knows but if you are wondering about Metal Church this is the album to buy. But if you're a metal fan, and dont own this.... what planet have you been on?! I recently reviewed King's new album elsewhere and said although it was good it was certainly no 'Conspiracy' or 'Them'. 'What about Abigail ?' I was asked...... goes without saying I replied.... Abigail is not just one of the greatest metal albums of all time, but one of the greatest in any genre. 'Nuff said ?

what an impressive album by Carnivore who knew that in 1987 Carnivore were gonna return with a second album Peter Steele cameback with lyrics that were straight from the heart.The music is extremally fast and Pete's voice is so ominouis Louie Beateaux and Marc Piovanetti really give their instruments a damn good wacking. since the album was released in 1987 the year in wich I was born im honored 2 own a Carnivore album. if u go on the roadrunnerrecords.com website u can get pictures of Carnivore believe me ive used those pictures for a school project to pay homage 2 Carnivore
