Carcass started out as a slightly sloppy but ground-breakingly extreme goregrind band, and ended up a neutered whimpish version of their old selves, but between those extremes they produced some of the best extreme metal ever made. This worthy compilation is stuffed with non-album obscurities from all eras of the band, chronologically:

1989 - ‘Exhume to Consume’ is taken from the original Grindcrusher compilation album, and is almost identical to the version from Symphonies of Sickness, just with the addition of a spooky feedback intro. From the Pathological compilation album comes ‘Genital Grinder II’, a superior recording of the opener from their debut album, and the frankly brilliant epic ‘Hepatic ... Read More:

if you were to look up industrial metal in the dictionary you should see a picture of this album as it easily the most appropriate band to fit the name as most other industrial acts seen to emphasise the electronic elements it is used here to sharpen a very heavy metal sound.
in effect what we have here is a death metal album with electronics and as such there was nothing like it at the time of release and there still isn't much that can match it to this day.
the thing is that it excells everywhere! from the glorious stabbing riffs that litter the whole album or the superhuman drumming ............. but probably the best part is the mesmerising performance that comes out of burtons mouth!
this guy has a voice that most vocalists would ... Read More:

Not many worth while tracks here in my opinion. Church of No Return and We Fall like Love stand out as the best songs from a rather mundane era in Christian Death's history. If you want a taste of what Valor's XD sound like this is the CD for you.A good introduction to "Post-Rozz" XD despite the lack of any interesting material.

I was amazed at how brilliant this album is. Every song is awsome but the songs that immediately stick out are Egypt, Shadows and Is that you melissa and the new version of return of the vampire is excellent also, with lars urich on the drums. So its in your best interest that you buy this album.

Well here I am again giving one of my biased opinions on a KD production. A fantastic creepy story centered around a church. This story opens up your mind and makes you wonder if there really is a God. You can decide. Basically this guy gets lost in the woods, then is led to an old church by a mysterious wolf. Once inside he begins to question his own beliefs due to what he sees and hears. Kol Marshall and King make a fantastic job of the production on this, and once again Andy La Rouque blows us away with a string of great solos. Andy is partnered by Glen Drover who is a great guitar player, but sadly he has left and Mike Weed has taken his place. Mike is formerly of Mercyful Fate. I watched Mike on the World Tour at the Mean Fiddler in London and he ... Read More:

This album is not the same as Live In The U.K when it was origionally relaesed.
So there are some SLIGHT changes to this version, a shorter start to the intro and 1 missing track (A Little Time)
This album was recorded from 3 seperate venues in the U.K at the time it was made although you could be forgiven in thinking that it was done at 1 venue.
This album was for me back in the day to be a very solid affair and a reminder that i missed a truly great act at the time. The album has plenty of atmosphere to it and the songs are performed almost note for note.
A lot of similarities are drawn with Iron Maiden with deservedly good performances by all members and a good singer.
A good album for hardcore fans and for someone who wants ... Read More:
