This album is brilliant, it has some really awesome songs and a pop metal album to be honest megadeth do a really good job at this album, and if you read the liner notes that dave has written on this remasterd version Dave tells us that he didnt want this to happen and he says he knew the band was coming to an end, so give this album a chance. I think the best songs are Insomnia (which to be honest it's a great metal song), Prince Of Darkness (another good rocker), Crush 'Em (yes it's pop metal it's still good), Seven & the last Time: The Beginning, Time: The End. You really have to be open minded about this album dont expect a thrash metal album like Peace Sells or Rust In peace, just listen to it for what it is and stop comparing this ... Read More:

Well what have we here if not the best ever album by these crossover band from Venice beach. I whent to see them at the nec in Birmingham on the clash of the titans tour and they blew every body off stage. The album debuts one robert trujillo(now in Metallica). This album broke the band into the mainstream but don`t expect it to be all flowers as this band where never about that, hever than the last proper album( how will i laugh tommorrow). and it harks back to the first in energy but with a real metal edge, still go some of the punk elements, anger is still pressent, it was a shame that they whent down hill after this but then again it was aa hard act to follow.

"Horrorscope" is a strong follow-up to the great "The Years Of Decay", the riffs are powerful, the drums are good, the songs are actual songs and not just riff after riff with some shouting in between like on "Under The Influence". sure like always in Overkill you can hear a riff or rhythm here or there that reminds you of Slayer, Metallica or Anthrax, therefore i give it only 4 stars, but those moments are really rare on "Horrorscope" compared to other releases by them. there is no weak song on the cd, you can listen to it from beginning to end, it's really enjoyable. "Horrorscope" can compete with anything the bigger bands in Thrash have put out during their careers, unfortunately "Horrorscope" came too late, if it was released in the mid-eighties ... Read More:

The price is cheap but songs like I am the Law, Caught in a Mosh and Indians which are really some of the thrax's best. The cd is saved a little by AIR, bring the noise (best rap/rock collaboration ever) and anti-social. To get the best from anthrax get their other greatest hits with all their best tracks on or The Greater OF Two Evils (remasters album) although that doesn't have any public enemy collaborations. Also If you ever get the chance, as seen at Download festival 2005, they are one of the best live bands in the world so go and see them

This album is proabaly my favorite by system of a down, because the songs are consistently good. 11 songs that vary so greatly and yet are all so brilliant. They are so good that eveyone could pick a different favorite, mine is sad statue its just so likable. Better than hypnotize (in my opinion) and definitely worth buying!

I first encountered this opus at a time when I was both young and impressionable, and at that time I was completely oblivious to the fact that Venom had a wry sense of humour which permeated pretty much everything they did. Hence, the leather bound gatefold sleeve (complete with burning inverted crucifix), scant information on the band and general subject matter, had a fairly profound effect at the time - and that was before I'd actually dared to play the thing. Coupled with this was the general view that Venom were `the worst band in the World' and the sense of trepidation was intense. So how does it, and did it, sound? The title track kicks off proceedings with a crack of thunder before the ominous drone of Cronos' bass leads into the first of ... Read More:

Classic riff tastic Kreator fodder. There's some properly heavy stuff going on in this album, serious riffing, and by god Mille's voice even sounds great. Violent Revolution was a lovely little tempter, giving us the hope that Kreator were returning to Coma/Extreme days. Well here it is my heavy metal hamsters, back to the glory days.
There are some very melodic pieces in this album, but it just enhances the heaviness. Murder Fantasies is not one of my wife's favourite songs....we were lying in a hotel room in Amsterdam late at night, I was listening to this on my headphones, and all my wife could hear in the darkness was the constant mantra, "I want to kill you, I want to kill you, I want to kill you."
It took her a while to see the funny side of ... Read More:

GREAT STUFF, I love this band and even if you don't, you cannot deny the absolute power of this cd. Yeah, these days the production would have been MEGA, but this was out years ago, and still it kills.
Check it out, seriously. DO IT!, DO IT!

A brilliant album, Shihad's finest so far...

After getting hold of this album a few years back (with much effort in the UK) I was really dissapointed with the new album under the name change - "pacifier".
Now, thankfully they're back as Shihad, the name they built up from nothing to the likes of the songs on this riproarer of an album.

Opening with a sledgehammer punky metal riff after a drawn out hum, "my minds sedate" is not something I'd recommend for loading your cd player's alarm clock with, but it sure as hell snaps you into the mode for the rest of the album. Songs like "the metal song" that say alot about the world they observe and the music industry.. "wait and see" "only time" "sport and relgion" with catchy riffs and amazing lyrics ... Read More:
