I'll admit that I shyed away from this album initially since it's not the genre of music I'd usually listen to but after one listen I couldn't have been more impressed. The lyrics are clever and original; the melodies catchy and her voice is simply stunning. Not a day has passed where I have failed to give at least one track on this album a listen and it's hard to stop when the songs are just so magical and captivating! I love each and every song on the album but I think "Ghosts", "Captain and The Hourglass", "Failure" and "My Manic and I" are just that little bit extra special. Look folks I was going to buy this out of pure nostalgia anyway - but I have to tell you this is just about as good as it gets - definitely his best ever studio recording. The voice is as good as ever, and no one ever ever could get the same sounds out of a guitar as he gets out of "Lucille". Every track a winner and what a band - featuring the incomparable Dr John on piano. The production is faultless. If you have any affection for the blues you simply have to buy this. Without question a 5 star item.

david bowie the legend my mam played me him when i was a kid loved him then and even more now so many classic here jean genie life on mars starman rebel rebel ashes to ashes lets dance etc david bowie the icon deffintely he was voted the most influiential artist of all timein guiness world records book!! he is cool but maybe thats a bit too much? my mam played me queen too who i love too freddie mercury surely one of the best rock singers and perfomer ever!! just like elvis presley he had the whole package but i think all three david bowie,freddie mercury,elvis presley are the whole package in my opinion!! buy this its fab

If you are new to the world of Guns N' Roses I urge you to go and pick up Appetite for Destruction and play the hell out of it. This is a good CD if perhaps you just want a mix CD for the car or whatever, but there is less of their groundbreaking debut album on here then I would have liked. Songs like Rocket Queen especially deserves a spot on this CD.

I brought this album in special edition and i must say it's the best slipknot album yet. songs like: sulphur,dead memories,butchers hook and psychosocial are the best to listen to and backed up by so many other cool tracks this album is a rare treat and the best album of 2008.

The voice of later day Fleetwood Mac and maker of several great solo albums. This however aint one of them, to weird for my liking and one which despite several attempts at listening will sit and gather dust on the shelf.

I bought this for my 3 1/2yr old who wouldnt stop doing the hokey cokey, i caught her dad battling with her to put on superman!!! we all enjoyed prancing round to some good old party favourites, like the birdie song agadoo, simple simon. Definately worth the money.

Anyone who adores Josh and that heavenly voice as much as I will almost certainly have all the tracks featured on the CD, with the exception of the song from Chess, but we Grobanites all know we're gonna buy this collection anyway! There is a great range of his songs on the CD from all his albums, which makes it a perfect gift for someone you want to convert to Grobanism, or if you've only recently become a fan and want to experience the best of Josh. I don't own it yet but I'd confidently promise anyone that it is well worth the money.

The excellent CD booklet that comes with this CD informs us that the name Matachin is enigmatic and of uncertain origin .Originally thought to be Arabic and derived from the word mutawajjihin meaning "mask-wearer" though now it is considered to derive from the Italian mattaccino the diminutive of the meaning matto -mad or fool. This is more apt for this 11 piece band have a certain barmy frisson . There is also a hypothesis that the name comes from an old Spanish sword dance ! This album could make you dance though I suspect it will make your head spin and your knees pop out of their sockets if you do . Bellowhead are for the uninitiated, which until listening to Matachin I was, like a burlesque collision between a folk band and a big band . The music is expansive ... Read More:
