Ray Lamontagne, is an enigma. His voice is breathy and rich and his trademark. His songwriting is brilliant at times. He is a genius at his craft. But, he is not reaching the masses. I found him, oh, several years ago with his first CD, 'Trouble' and his voice and lyrics stirred my soul. "The Jesus-bearded troubadour is sort of a recluse. Since they parted 8 years ago there have been many releases of their greatest hits in one form or another. Being a die hard fan I had purchased them all but they all had tracks which had preiously been available. The boyz are breaking new ground wih this album. Not only has it got all of their hits (which you had with 90% of the other greatest hits released) you have new tracks. With the new single and two other new tracks. This delux edition also offers some fantastic extras which are well worth a viewing! If you are not too keen on their new style then I wouldn't bother buying this as it is no different to all the others but for all true fans, yet again this is another must have!! After listening to this I feel 14 again!!

I have just heard Chinese Democracy for the first time and it is an awsome record, well worth the wait.

Wow. Could this album have any older tracks on it? I doubt it. These are all really old over played songs. Disapointed.

High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. I wasn't a Kings of Leon fan before I heard 'Only by the Night', but am now, so I tried this one. Not quite as good but still very enjoyable, and you can see the path they were taking toward their latest work with this offereing. Recommended, there are a few really good songs here too!

...the record company left a few other underrated gems like "Never Too Far" which was the second single from "Glitter" and many more from her previous catalogues. I think the proper title should be "the incomplete ballads" or "evil marketing-ploy for stocking filler ballads" since Christmas is just around the corner. What a pity. Still a great collection but not an excellent one.

This is a great album - head and shoulders above many other cross over attempts that are around at the moment. It demonstrates not only Jonathan Ansell's amazing vocal range but his growing richness of tone and emotional interpretation that marks him as one of the up an coming world class tenors - and bodes well for many future albums! High points for me are Amor Tio Vieta , Canto Della Terra, Libiamo and Hoppipolla - the latter being a Sigur Ros track that is an absolute gem. As with any album - there may be a couple that for personal taste come lower down the 'play it again' scale - possibly Hearts of England has the least effect on my pulse rate - not because of the quality of the singing but the quality of the song - not the rousing anthem it ... Quite simply quality. It's a mix of Wish and the Head on the Door. If you think the Cure have lost their way in recent years, this is an absolute return to form. If you have liked Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers & The Cure you won't be disappointed, however. I suggest you invest! Looking forward to the next chapter.....originally planned to be a double with Smith re-producing 4:13 and adding in numerous other songs...can't wait
