well when I first listened to pearl harbor i lay down on my bed, with my eyes closed imagining where the music is from on the film. I love pearl harbor, faith Hill has an amazing voice, i think thats a good way to start of the soundtrack and then you go on to all the other music which is also fantastic. im only 15 so this review will be a bit rubbish but when you listen to number 9 it makes me cry everytime i listen to it just picturing were abouts in the film the music is from! i also put the cd on just before im about to go to bed because it helps me go to sleep not becaue its boring because its also relaxing.

This is a disc full of great music. It won't be long before you find yourself singing along to one song or another; my favourite is 'The Farmer and the Cowman'- actually a very clever piece of music. Rodgers and Hammerstein were masters of their art and Oklahoma is, arguably, their very best. The recording was made, amazingly, in 1954. You would never guess it. This is one of the very best soundtracks I have ever heard. It has warmth, clarity and a wide frequency range that bely its age. There is none of the distortion that some soundtrack recordings have. Well, this soundtrack is good for a quick listen, but for film fans who adore the film it's not going to whet your appetite. The themes are either cut short or present in an edited form, and the majority of the music from the 117 minutes runtime (which was almost constantly underscored) is not on this CD. I would recommend avoiding this purchase if you're looking for a musical experience to match that of the film. The best solution at this current date is to hunt down the Esper Edition bootleg, released recently (either late 2004 or early 2005 depending on who you believe). This is not the first bootleg of the Blade Runner music - 20 such versions exist, thanks mostly to the untimely release of THIS soundtrack some 12 years post the release ... Read More:

This CD had many good tracks, but it is the "Adagio For Strings" that really stands out. Other tracks of note are "Hello, I Love You" by The Doors and "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane. These songs capture the atmosphere of Vietnam as well as the film did. If you like any Vietnam films or just great music you'll love this.

Mainly a collection of vintage rock'n'roll which Ace specialize in but this is a sub genre which had its roots in such as Screammin' Jay Hawkins and John Zacherle-whose Dinner With Drac is on one of the Golden Age series. The real classic here is Bobby Boris Pickett's Monster Mash and the CD starts off with an airshot of Pickett's speaking voice.It topped the charts in 1962 and finally made it to the U K in 1974. Informative sleeve notes tell you who all these mostly failed recording artists were and the title is brilliant
