When a band brings out two singles I like, I get the CD. In most cases this works but it doesn't with Big Brovaz. The singles "Nu Flow", "OK" and "Baby Boy" were amazing songs but the rest of the album....isn't. Although a few other tracks are great RnB tracks like "Gotta Get" and "Summertime" but other tracks you just skip cause they sound horrible. The guys definately have to work on their raps and the girls have to learn how to sing in tune. I think Big Brovaz are very promising and they will improve but you might want to skip this one. Unless you loved all those singles that is.

12.Correct English by: Aspects

I love this album. My attention was first drawn to Aspects after listening to some mix tape from Hombre records that I somehow aquired. Although Aspects come under the title of 'Hip-Hop' at Amazon.com or any record store, i have another theory. Aspects are not Hip-Hop, they're just plain psycho! A mix of unmistakable drum machines, Bristolian vocals and adveturous producing shouldn't work, but it does! And i love it. Pity this form doesn't have a 6 out of 5 star rating. Oh, and they rocked Ashton Court the other day at the Essential Festival with live performances of My Genre, We Get Fowl and Ects Factor. BUY THIS RECORD NOW YOU FOOL!!!

This is not your typical rap album in the sense that americanisation of the whole of the rap world, pin points the world rap to bling bling and guns, Ty's first album brings fresh air into the rap world with a whitty and insightful look at his life past and present, and an often emotional view of Urban life, but unlike other UK artist he uses a different but no less effective style, to paint his lyrical masterpeices, "Ghetto Perspective" is probably one on the best UK rap songs that i've ever heard. a great album... bring on the second installment.

The real MC's can be heard on Supernatural where a mix of highs are prescribed. From the moving dub of Declaration to the jumped up funk of Lost in Music, MC Rob and the Head, without DJ Caesere (who had provided so much of their 1st album's euro-lick punch) exhilerate you with the sheer eclecticism of their music.

Supernatural offers all that the MC's did so well - creative, humourous, touching and plain old kicking. Two Horse Town and Goin Back to the Wild just shouldn't end as tracks, asking questions of the listener, whilst few albums reach out and hit you with it as this one does with I'm a Believer and Scene of the Crime.

Supernatural? Bloody cosmic!

15.Countryman by: Skitz

I reckon, lyrically brilliant, the rhymes are pure skill, the scratching is sublime, you must hear it to believe it. The whole album is pure class but "Fingerpints of the Gods" and "Twilight of the Gods" are 2 tunes of such top notch calibre that it's hard to believe there wasn't a big fuss about this album when it was released. A total triumph for Skitz and for british hip hop. A 10/10 if ever there was one.

17.Witness (One Hope) by: Roots Manuva

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Music : Witness (One Hope)
Mr Manuva continues to pave his own way with this single from his second album. Definately the first emcee to advocate cheese on toast and that's not a bad thing!
Very bass heavy. Very danceable. Very good.
Also, worth checking out the Walsworth Road Rockers version on side B.
Niceness!!

Like the rest of the hip hop nation I feel i am a big fan of roots manuva. His trance like melody mixed with his home made beats, manuva is a one off. This is probably why 'black whole styles isn't as good as 'Roots' debut album 'brand new/ second hand'. So it is no surprise that Roots manuva's track 'feeldapanic', is probably the best song on this album. If you are a deadly into this breed of hip hop then, obviously it is for you, if not, then this album may take a while to get down to. worth the purchase, but don't expect a repeat of the classic 'brand new second hand.
