I purchased this C.D. predominantly for the included recording of "Sospan Fach" but I found the album to be most enjoyable as a whole. The recordings were made between 1968 and 1994 but the audio quality is consistently high throughout. If you are in the market for a selection of excellently sung Welsh classics then this L.P. should satiate your needs.

If you're after a good Bonnie Tyler compilation covering the rock music she made with the CBS record label from 1983-1988, this has to be the one to buy. The hits are present, "Holding Out For A Hero", "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", "Have Your Ever Seen The Rain" and "Faster Than The Speed Of Night". The duets are presented, "A Rockin' Good Way" with Shaken Stevens [a UK no.5 chart hit] and the beautiful "Loving You Is A Dirty Job" with Todd Rundgren. Hmmm a strange one this, even by Budgie's own especially quirky standards. This 1976 album saw a bit of a departure from the bands usually sludgy and bluesy rock sound and they incorporated ......funk elements! Oh lord have mercy, Welsh funk! But wait, this is actually good, surprisingly so. This album kicks off in excellent fashion with the groovy, up tempo `Anne Neggen' which is very similar to Wishbone Ash's `Jailbait' (every 70's rock band has at least one song about under age females!). It's perhaps my favourite Budgie song with some wonderful guitar riffs, far from metal and far from heavy but I suppose Budgie's inclusion into these archives is based on their early 70's and 80's work, rather than their supposed late 70's slump, ... "Comeback Single Collection" is a compilation of tracks from three of Bonnie Tyler's albums recorded in Germany from a period spanning 1991-1993. The albums were a huge success in Germany and were, "Bitterblue" [1991], "Angel Heart" [1992] and from 1993, "Silhouette In Red". However, there are three bonus songs in addition, her 70s hits "Lost In France" and "It's A Heartache" as well as a single released in 1994, "Back Home". The tracks here are brilliant, mostly love songs and really represent the best of her career on the Germany label, Hanson. If you pick up this CD, you will not regret it, just sit back and listen to the heavenly voice of Bonnie Tyler.
